Does the application (LMS running on pCP I presume) have access rights to the contents of that folder? Where is that folder and is it any different to other folders that you can successfully see? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] USB - Ethernet adapter not recognised
Ahh that was it, I had previously tried to add the extesion net-usb and had an older 4. version installed I think that with the readme it is going to be much clearer now how to get the USB - ethernet adapters setup properly. If I had just follwed that from the start I would not have tried the older version of he extension. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] USB - Ethernet adapter not recognised
Don't mismatch extensions that require the correct kernels. What version of pCP are you using? I recommend you start from a fresh install. It should be as simple as "add netusb file" and reboot. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 6.1.0 issues
Hi, My systems is QNAP TS-230 running Logitech Media Server ((v8.0.0, 1605892076, Fri Nov 20 21:32:55 CET 2020) perl 5.028002 - aarch64-linux-thread-multi) with two music players attached over hard-wired Ethernet. Both players are RPi4 with PiCore 6.1.0, installed into Argon One cases and connected to standalone USB DACs (one JDS Labs Atom and the other a Cambridge Audio DACMagic 100). One of these players runs reliably; I turn it on and it works. The other has good days and bad days; every time I think I've got it working it fails again a few days later. The symptom of this failure is that when I hit the key in order to play something that is in the queue there is no sound and the play time bar does not advance. At the same time as one player is failing the other can be playing, so LMS itself is in a functional state. To investigate the issue I enabled some more verbose logging and captured couple of log extracts (see below) relating to an attempt to play (log extract 1) a Steely Dan track on the malfunctioning player and (log extract 2) actually playing a Sandy Denny track on the properly functioning player. I also tried to play the same Sandy Denny track on the malfunctioning player, without success. In order to try to get the player to work I have: 1. Restarted the squeezelite player 2. Restarted the Rpi 3. Replaced the SD Card. Although the first two of these have sometimes got the system working, on this occasion they did not. The third was a last ditch attempt which also did not work. I also tried to check the logs on the PiCorePlayer but was unable to work out which of the logs, if any, might help. I realise that the fact that 3 above did not work strongly suggests that PiCorePlayer itself is not at fault here and that an issue with the network, the RPi4 or the DAC is likely indicated. I would be grateful if someone could direct me towards and PiCore logs that may be helpful in identifying which, if any, of these aspects is proving problemmatic. I am also hoping that someone here with a good knowledge of the flow of control through the process of setting up and playing a stream will be able to help zero in on the problem, using the log extracts below, and perhaps advise on the capture of further and more useful diagnostic information. Thanks, in advance, for your help. Driver source is available at https://www.asix.com.tw/en/support/download then navigate through the options to download the right one which I think gets AX88772C_772B_772A_760_772_178_Linux_Driver_v4.24.0_Source.tar.bz2 However, it would then have to be built. [SlimDevices: Unix] USB - Ethernet adapter not recognised
Hello, I would like to use a usb - ethernet adapter on a Pizero W to connect it into my network. So far on WiFi , everthing works fine. It looks like the adapter is seen if judging from the diagnostics. They report Code: [2.416898] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0b95, idProduct=7720, bcdDevice= 0.01 [2.416915] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [2.416923] usb 1-1: Product: AX88x72A [2.416931] usb 1-1: Manufacturer: ASIX Elec. The adater apears as a AX88x72A adapter from ASIX Elec. Corp. However there is not eth0 network being created. I did try adding the extension net-usb-4.19.102, but that did not change anything.
