Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] [How To] Using the Argon One case for the Pi 4B together with piCorePlayer (7.x)
O.K. I tried again. All of the commands you suggested: 1.) tc@piCoreLMS:~$ sudo modprobe i2c-dev YES, NOTHING SEEN. 2.) tc@piCoreLMS:~$ sudo python3 /home/tc/argononed.py NOTHING SEEN 4.) tc@piCoreLMS:~$ sudo vcgencmd measure_temp THIS SEEMS FINE. temp=35.5'C 5.) I typed in "cat argonone.py" and see the contents of the file. 6. tc@piCoreLMS:~$ ll and now see the following: total 12 -rw-r--r--1 tc staff 2288 Jan 1 17:23 argononed.py -rwxr-xr-x1 tc staff 2135 Dec 23 08:15 pcp-powerbutton.sh -rwxr-xr-x1 tc staff 713 Dec 23 08:15 powerscript.sh Do you think everything is o.k., now??? Finally, the thing that still does not seem to work is typing in "fanconfig" which just returns a "command not found" message. Do I need to type in something before I type "fanconfig"?? My music library is primarily ALAC. It is stored on an SSD attached to a RPi 4 running the latest version of LMS 8.1.1 (Dec 28) and playing through various RPi's running pCP 7.0. Every 20-30 seconds I get a pop sound similar to the pops you get when playing vinyl albums. Disabling the native ALAC (and letting it transcode to FLAC) does stop the popping. It is often Libreelec is using patches that are provided by rpi for them to do testing with before releasing the patches in their channels. Rebuilt with a new microSD card. Disabling ALAC support in SqueezeLite does indeed turn off the clicking. I'll provide a link to a couple of errant files later today - I need to find some short ones where the problem is clearly audible. I'll give that a try. However I'm having a few other stability issues with this system, which may be an issue with the microSD card. I've just located a spare card and will be giving that a try soon. Hi, found this when searching for "Pcp WOL" Just wondering since it's not very clear to me, the function under [Tweaks] [Wake-on-lan (WOL)] ; How is that supposed to work? Is it supposed to send it when PcP boots up or when Squeezelite (or maybe LMS ) starts? A clarification would be nice. I'm hoping for that PcP is supposed to send a WoL to the specified MAC when booting up but I'm not sure since it doesn't work. PcP is connected with cable to my LAN and the server I want it to wake up works well with other WoL apps, also works well when sending Wol from my router. I tested the WoL function from jivelite settings GUI to my server and that one also works. I'm not sure which one is the "boot log" but I suppose it's "pcp_boot.log" which I found in "/var/log/" ? Can't find anything mentioning WOL in it. doggod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111787 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

For now, you can disable the squeezelite alac decoder by adding *alac* to the Exclude codec setting field in the squeezelite settings tab of the web admin, restart squeezelite and LMS will transcode alac files to flac. Hmm, does pCP pickup the drive as ntfs? The fuseblk, seems to be wrong. What extensions are loaded? (Extensions page/onboot.lst tab) What kernel modules are loaded. (Near the bottom of the diagnostics page) 32 or 64bit. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Hi Paul, This is one wd 3.5" 4tb external drive with own power supply, ntfs formatted and worked very well since pCp 4.0, connected on usb3 port on my Pi4/8GB. output of "mount" for this hd: /dev/sda1 on /mnt/4t type fuseblk (ro,noatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096) I checked the hd for errors under w10, drive is clean. A week ago i even formatted the drive and copied all data again. I also tried one 500gb ntfs ssd and had the same error. praganj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41091 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113512 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
