Add that right before or after the [PI3] tag in config.txt.

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] New RPi Zero 2 W

2021-10-29 Thread paul-

I wonder how it follows conditional filters in our config.txt. If it
follows a [PI0] directive, it will get an armv6 kernel.

Looking at the docs
https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/computers/config_txt.html#model-filters
They have not updated the directives to show how the new board
identifies. But you should be able to use the [board-type=0x12] filter
to get the board.

I changed the dtb files and bootcode bin, that made no difference.

I then copied over the fixup and start files.

No luck with those.

Sorry, I have to leave this now. I'll maybe try again tomorrow if I get
the time

The dtb files are not often changed. So it's worth a shot. I would
look at the rest of the firmware files. Everything in the boot folder,
except the kernel and initrd

would it help to replace the dbt files in pCP with the ones from
Buster-Lite, or would the kernel have to alos be changed ?

I assumed you tried without the dtb file first? Perhaps if you have
the dtb, then you also need the rest of the new firmware files too.

What version is the RaspiOS kernel? The only change in raspi's github
was adding the DTB file. Unless they snuck in changes earlier and just
didn't tell us why.

I finally was able to find it in stock in the US, I ordered one, so when
I get it, I'll figure it out.

It works pretty well, best to add small length of wood on the top of the
spreader bar (helps prevent the bar from cracking ; he said after
the event :o:p)
