Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] New RPi Zero 2 W

2021-11-14 Thread mcduman

received the P02, followed the steps in this thread and successfully
booted using the 64-bit version of picoreplayer. benchmarks showed that
the 64-bit version was more performant despite the 512mb ram. some
notes:

1. P02 boots with a 3.3v power supply just like the older version
2. To turn off the leds there is a new command:
dtparam=act_led_activelow=off. the old ones do not work
3. decoding flac as a pcp player only, the cpu utilizaiton is 0.2%. used
to be 5% on the pi zero
4. everything is super fast

Okay, six weeks have passed since then. I think there has been no update
yet.
When will the support for the new OLED displays come?

Thanks for the quick reply, I got back lit on the Pirate audio working
but no verbose during boot, even if Jivelite is not configured properly
should I see verbose on the display ?

Hello everybody,

Until yesterday TIDAL worked fine on my piCore 7.0.1 based ALLO BOSS2
Player. Today TIDAL plays only 4 sec silently of each track and skips to
the last track. Radio Paradise and streaming from my harddrive attached
to the BOSS2 works fine.

Can anybody help me out please? What diagnostics information is
required?

Thank you.

I've done a couple of fresh installs under pCP8.0.0 (one on a Pi Zero W
and one on a Pi Zero 2 W), and can confirm that following all the steps
described 'this post'
will still get all functions of the Pirate Audio boards working.

Is it just Jivelite that isn't working or do you not see anything on the
screen during boot up either?

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0

2021-11-14 Thread jacobacci

I have a suspicion what might have caused the write permission issue
with my stick.
The USB stick was originally formatted on a Synology NAS. The data was
then copied onto the stick via the NAS. So the rights on the stick were
definitely not belonging to "tc".
That would explain why initially i could not write to the stick over
SAMBA.
Clicking "set write permissions" then solved this issue. Why I could
then write new files, but not overwrite existing files is not clear to
me.

Anyway, issue solved. I have now deleted all the files on the stick and
recopied them from the Windows PC via SAMBA. I can now overwrite
existing files.
