[SlimDevices: Unix] Screen Issues piCorePlayer (RPI 4 + HB DAC+ + Waveshare 7")
Hi there, I am currently trying to shift from volumio to piCorePlayer, as I appreciate some capabilities which are not freely available in volumio (e.g., analogue input, bluetooth) . I tested piCoreplayer and almost everything works fine on my RPI 4, using HifiBerry DAC+ as HAT. So far so good. The only issue is that I can't make my touchscreen (Waveshare 7inch HDMI LCD (C)) run properly. While the console looks fine during the boot process, the actual presentation of piCoreplayer (i.e., jivelite) on the screen is shifted/wrong. I have already played around with config.txt and tried the different options. I also added the Waveshare settings: > max_usb_current=1 > hdmi_group=2 > hdmi_mode=87 > hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0 > hdmi_drive=1 I also successfully managed to calibrate the touch screen, following some forum instructions. Since the screen is working properly during the boot process but only behaves weird when jivelite starts, I suppose this has something to do with some jivelite settings. Also, the touch seems to work correctly, as I can use it. It is just not aligned with the jivelite screen. If there is anyone who can give me some advise, I would be very thankful. I already did some extensive google research, including this forum, yet without success. Since this is a very famous screen I believe, others could be interested in solving this issue as well. Thank you. It would be much less work to just build a material skin for Jivelite. I've actually considered looking into it. uudruid74's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72371 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115697 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
I have been using piCorePlayer for over a year now (Raspberry Pi 4 LMS server and another Pi/hifiberry digi+ pro as a client connected to an ADI-2-DAC FS) and it has been flawless. Love the constant improvement in the software. Keep up the good work. Thank you. jrlmel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67200 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114828 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
Hi, Over the past couple of days I have had to reboot my piCore rpi4 with the following: piCorePlayer | piCorePlayer v8.1.0 | www v00017 | linux 5.10.77-pcpCore-v8 (64) | piCore v13.1 | Squeezelite v1.9.9-1391-pCP LMS web pages stop responding. In order to recover I tried a restart of LMS, then a reboot (which seemed to remedy) I now have the LMS logs displayed and will monitor. Any other ideas to try? Would it be helpful to log remotely (syslog)? Thanks In Advance zubenubi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72160 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114828 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Since its an HDMI display, you need to use the KMS driver. https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103330-Jivelite-for-piCorePlayer&p=1027716&viewfull=1#post1027716 piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Start with LMS logs. (What version of LMS are you using) I would also do common things like checking connectors and power supplies. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Getting Streamer for Audio Input to work with HiFiBerry DAC+ADC
OK, I have tried to start from scratch and find the problem why am I not getting any sound? I found on the 'HiFiBerry website' (https://www.hifiberry.com/docs/software/check-if-the-sound-card-is-in-use/) the following command to see which process is using the sound card: Code: for i in /proc/asound/card?/pcm*/sub?/hw_params; \ do echo $i; cat $i; \ done When I run that on the PCP, I get this result: Code: /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c/sub0/hw_params closed /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params closed Doesn't that suggest that there is no process using the sound card, meaning that PCP has not started the streamer? beneix's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59783 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115692 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Getting Streamer for Audio Input to work with HiFiBerry DAC+ADC
Streamer will not use the card util you hit the URL. Stop squeezelite from the user interface, so nothing should open the output side of the card. Then try to stream the URL. Start with S16_LE (But 16 and 32 bit should work) I've not had any luck with 24bit. I've not tested this in a while, but I do have a Dac+ADC here somewhere. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
Searched through the thread, didn't see this one, apologies if it's been covered (and please point me)... I've put together a player using PCP 8.1 with a RPi 3B+ and official RPi 7" touchscreen. When it's hardwired, everything functions as it should. When it's using wif-fi, PCP Squeezeplay says it can't connect to the server, though I know it sees it because I can send music through that player, and control it, from my phone or a browser on a PC. Thoughts, ideas? The hard wiring is a less than ideal solution if at all possible. You might be better placed for an answer in the "8" thread rather than the "6" thread :) rPi 3 + rasPi 7" LCD + HiFiBerry DiGi+ | rPi 2 + IQaudio DAC+ | rPi 2 + HiFiBerry DAC+ | Squeeze Box Touch | LMS on pCP https://www.picoreplayer.org/how_to_upgrade_lms.shtml Your usb device is taking too long to become ready at boot. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
When you change to wifi, make sure you unplug the cable, and then reboot. Make sure to boot without the cable plugged in. Jivelite will likely need to be reset in that state, as it gets tied to the networking interface. You cannot easily switch between ethernet and wifi with jiveliteso pick one method. Everything(wifi and ethernet) is on the same subnet, correct? i.e. 192.168.1.xxx piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
