Thanks for the response.

It's not clear what this application does, but when I mentioned a Linux
controller, I had in mind an application to run on a Linux desktop or
laptop, to connect to the player or the media server, for the purposes
of controlling what to play.

[SlimDevices: Unix] LInux client (controller) currently maintained

2022-10-15 Thread brainchild

For controlling the piCorePlayer from a Linux desktop client, is any
software currently maintained, or is the web interface to the Media
Server the only feasible option?

I see some very old discussions on this topic, and I am seeking
up-to-date information.

Thanks Jim, It was even dumber than that. Somewhere along the line I
turned off the internal pi radio. All is well now.

Thanks for all your consideration and have a spectacular weekend.

[SlimDevices: Unix] Help with network share please

2022-10-15 Thread 4eyes

Hi All,
I have been using LMS and PiCorePlayer on my Raspberry Pi for several
years now, with only occasional issues. Recently, when rescanning my
media library, pcp/lms sees only spotty albums and playlists, not the
files on my network share. Shared folder is on a Synology Nas.
I think I have specified the mount point, IP address for the NAS and
share name correctly in PCP LMS, and configured the NAS with the IP for
PCP, also correctly I think, but LMS doesn't see the shared folder. Nor
can I browse to it from the server settings basic settings webpage. I'd
like to fix this but don't know where to turn or what to change. Can
anyone help?
