So, if you don't enter the IP address on the command line, it's giving you that error message? Is the IP address correct for your LMS - i.e. is discovery working ok. Is there anything funny with your LMS setup? First, can you take a look at pcp_boot.log - in the PCP UI, go to Main Page, Diagnostics, Logs, Boot. Anything interesting in there? Try posting that here. If there's othing interesting, let's turn on debug and capture the log. If you boot the pcp without starting the script (remove it from the startup commands), or if you're OK with it, kill the process (ps -a, then sudo kill ) you can then run the process from the cmd line python3 /home/tc/oled4pcp_4.py OLED=SSD1322 LOGFILE=DEBUG it'll write the logs to /var/log/oled4pcp.log. Hit cntl-c to stop the process after a while and send me the log. psketch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56555 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116489 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Track Info etc. on OLED for PCP
Hey Pete, Many thanks for this, Ive been on a journey with getting my EvoSabre to work. I've come from PcP with previous streamer/dac but thought I'd start using the images provide by Audiophonics. Anyway, I glad I'm back to PcP!! :) I've installed files and python scripts as per the github page with no issues. I have squeezelite connecting to my LMS on a NAS. LMS can see the EvoSabre squeezlite player but the display, after the splash screen, loops around connecting to LMS IP 192.168.0.222 and Player not connected. Tried definining the LMSIP in PcP and commandline with no improvement in the issue. Any ideas? Thank you. I already suspected that. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
In the past I have left those 2 lines in place and still used HDMI, but that was with KMS not FKMS. I read a description of them that said that they use HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) ... if that is the only way that they work then they might not work at all when directly connected to Raspberry Pi. So a suggestion ... see if you can get those HDMI connected speakers to work with a regular Raspberry Pi OS. If you can then it suggests that it should be possible with pCP once the correct incantations are found. If you cannot then you might be able to get help from Raspberry Pi themselves ... but if only ARC then might be doomed. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] PiCore Player and gpio-poweroff / gpio-shutdown overlays
Thank You. I took another new SD card, did a clear new installation and looks fine - I can edit "config" file. Unfortunatelly disable I2C did not resolve problem. If GPIO 3 is choosen for "shutdown" Squeezelite is not starting and not running. Any other GPIO is fine, except 3. GPIO3 is from default able to wake up Rpi4 from shutdown. I had a plan to give a signal to shutdown and wake up on same pin - similar as I have done on other Rpi with LibreElec. Is there any option to have GPIO with shutdown function and Squeezelite running? maciekelga's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=73213 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109270 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] PiCore Player and gpio-poweroff / gpio-shutdown overlays
If I was you, I'd start with an SD card of *known* quality, and start again. The BOOT partition is formatted FAT32 and everyone has read/write access. After pCP boots, the BOOT partition is unmounted, so *accidents* are minimised. You can do an "ls" to see what permissions are set. A "df" will show if you have run out of space for some reason. There is always a chance that the BOOT partition was mounted, when it should not have been, and some program or command was run that modified it. I think, hardware issues can cause the *whole* SD card to be readonly. config.txt is on a FAT partition so *normally* it can not be readonly. I suppose if the SD card is underpowered or faulty it can be readonly, but I've never seen that happen. Hi. I have a Raspberry Pi4 with the original 7" touch display (DSI). I would like to connect Hubert nuBox A-125 via HDMI. I have made the above changes. Unfortunately the boxes remain silent, even if everything else looks good. Before I made the changes, there was an error message with HDMI output with the default settings. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] PiCore Player and gpio-poweroff / gpio-shutdown overlays
I played a little bit with my PcP on RPi4. I have setup of shutdown under 'Poweroff/Shutdown Overlays'- set gpio shutdown to 'yes', '3', 'Active Low','Pull up". So when I short to GND GPIO 3 Rpi shutdown, when I remove GND from GPIO3 it start up but SqueezeLite is not running, I think I2C is a problem and it should be disable. I`m using DAC IQAudIO DAC Pro and may I disable I2C? maciekelga's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=73213 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109270 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
