Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite

2014-09-06 Thread Howardyiu

Hi all,

Some question about the squeezelite setup,, I m using a USB dac with it,
when I choose the the device from the list of available ALSA, as I hv
only the front speaker for music, I choose from only default and front
speaker one, when I choose default , sampling rate fixed at 48 kHz shown
on my dac and never change even I play something like 96 or 192. But
when I change it to front speaker one , the sampling rate keep
switching, bling bling bling at the same rate..no other setting done at
all. Any one got idea ???

Thanks,
Howard

Hi there,

again, it's me.

First, when i plugged all cables fine.
turn on the DAC, then the Pi, the DAC shows it's in 48Khz, even when
later i play music file with 44.1Khz or 96Khz, it didn't change.

the music file i have cover from 44.1 - 192 Khz, aiff, wav..etc..
the dac support 24/192 through USB input.

so i just wonder any setting mess that up...

Thanks,
Howard

Steen,

The problem about the remote got fixed, it is as you said, firewall
about LAN connection.

But when I started to use remote app... the sampling rate of the Dac
don't change, fixed at 48 khz. But I can't see any setting in
squeezelite limits it.

Do u have any idea Why is that?

Dear All,

i have some question and hope u guys can probably help.

I am using NAS as media source storing all my music, recently get the pi
B+ for the use of pCP, afterwards, some setups and finally the pi b+
works fine.

My question here is, i can control the LMS via web GUI only. whenever i
use the "Logitech Squeezebox control" or "Orange Squeeze" from my
Android phone / iPad, they can't even detect the player. Steen told that
maybe some kind of fire wall? or NAS settings..

Anybody hv encountered before or hv idea whats wrong with that?

Appeciate!

Hi steen,

I can find the player in the web based lms finally by choosing audio
output as u suggested and typing the IP of the NAS. Dun reli know why i
have to key in the ip, maybe connecting via switch is a matter.

BTW, the audio output is with quite a lot noise, I think it is
definitely not for audio.

The problem now I have is how to get the Dac work. Any parameter I can
use for, or what exactly I have got to key in?

I can see the player in web based lms and listen music via the audio
output but not the LMS APP for IOS, whys that? U guys also? If Yes, what
application u guys use?

2) Pi B+. got 1.17a updated. some setting by reading some post, not
really know what's that.
3) signal flow : NAS-> GigaSwitch-> B+-> [USB]-> DAC (NAD D1050)-> AV

I have recently bot a pi b+ solely for this picoreplayer, I later found
the 1.16 cannot be booted up. Then I searched for 1.16a and get it
installed. Finally it booted up my b+. After some rough setup, get LMS
installed in my NAS, I plugged in the USB cable to dac, Ethernet cable,
powered it up and reboot. Nothing found in the web based lms, apps and
etc. I mean no player was found.

What's wrong with that? Because the software not supported b+ yet or?
What I can actually do. Appreciate that.
