Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] BETA: piCorePlayer6.0.0 - PI4 support
I'm using the 64 bit standard version, not the 32bit Audio tweekers version. I've been running the b7 beta since it was released with no problems at all. Its running on the Rpi4 with official Rpi touchscreen and Jivelite. But, I just tried to play a few of my 24/192 FLACS (which I know normally play fine) and none of them will play; I just get complete silence for the duration of the track. All my 16/44 files play fine and sound great. I've setup Squeezelite properly and selected the correct Audio output HiFiberry device. My ALSA settings are the defaults for the selected DAC. I've done an exhaustive Google search for similar problems but nothing applicable comes up. Anybody come across this problem ? Version 2.03, has LMS functionality, which is fantastic !! Especially when running on the RPi version 3 (64 bit) How though can we add large capacity storage (i.e. hard drives) media in which to store the library ? Storing the library on an SD card isn't really practicable if the library is a decent size. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 2.00
I'm trying to set up Jivelite running under PiCorePlayer on Raspberry Pi with Touch screen. Everything is working perfectly and I can connect the PicorePLayer to my Vortexbox running LMS. All works well. When the piCoreplayer (Jivelite) is turned off I want to display the photographs which are stored on my vortexbox in folder'../storage/pictures'. When I set up the screen saver in Jivelight to do this I have the option to add a custom location for my pictures, so I simply enter /storage/pictures But this doesn't seem to work. I've tried all sorts of variants on /storage/pictures but Jivelite seems unable to locate the images. The default image screensaver works fine and picks up images from the web OK Anybody got any idea what address I should be using for my images ?? [SlimDevices: Unix] HiFiBerry DAC+ DSP install dsptoolkit on PiCoreplayer
Hi I'm running latest PicorePlayer (v8.1, and piCore v13.1). piCore v13.1 has micropython built in and I want to install the hifiberry dsptoolkit at the command line. Unfortunately I'm not Linux savvy enough to be able to do that so looking for help. My idea is to have the dsptoolkit installed in piCore in order to be able to program (via a Putty SSH connection to Picore) the hifiberry DAC+DSP HAT with different filter profiles for room correction (correction filters prepared using REW). The idea is that whilst listening to music through PiCoreplayer, at the PiCore command line (SSH), I can upload a new set of filters into the DSP to listen to the effect; switching back and forth between different filter options vs no filters. There will be a short interruption of course as new filters are loaded. I understand the dsptoolkit command line quite well so once dsptoolkit is installed I'm good to go. Anybody able to advise how to install dsptoolkit onto Picore ??
