Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite
Digi is working, I added the require modprobes to the bootscript, modified the alsa params to enable 32bit 96000khz, and bingo it's working al3ph wrote: > Cool, just received mine, managed to manually lode the modules, and it's > shows up in aplay -L, just need to connect to amp and fiddle with > settings. al3ph's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Cool, just received mine, managed to manually lode the modules, and it's shows up in aplay -L, just need to connect to amp and fiddle with settings. sbp wrote: > I expect to have a HiFiBerry Digi card soon, so that we have support for > a pure digital audio system based on the raspberry as well. > > Steen al3ph's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite
Can you make sure the extension for extending the second partition is included, I wanted to add support for my piglow, so had to mess around a lot to expand it, if e2fsprogs had already been included life would have been much easier. Maybe an option in the menu system ? cheers! al3ph's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite
Once I correct the bug, it worked fine, my DAC requires it for upsampling SACD flacs, I've been using a custom build of squeezelite I built a few months back (until I upgraded), and your version appears to work fine. No idea about bash, I'd have to have a look, you could always rewrite it in ncurses which might be nicer to use. But a web interface will be handy, make sure you stick in support for viewing/enabling debugging info from squeezelite/dmesg/syslog etc. as that'd be very helpful for people with issues. sbp wrote: > Thanks will be corrected - Have you tried using upsample, and what is > your experience with that on the raspnberry, is it OK? > > Yes, I'm aware of this, but I simply don't know how to make the screen > update in order to show the new content of the config.cfg file using a > bash script. sbp wrote: > *piCorePlayer 1.10 is ready* Seems to be a bug with the upsampling option, you've not include the $UPSAMPLE var in the init.d script. Also when chaning options, it doesn't reflect the new values in the UI, until you leave and reenter the menu. PS. Cheers for all the hard work..! al3ph's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite
I downloaded the source from the squeezelite git repo and the latest version on libsoxr, built them on my picoplayer, created a simple tcz for the libs and copied my build of squeezelite over the top of the default, had to change -a 10::24_3:1 and -x U, then tested with some 24bit 88khz FLACs, works great, though the CPU load is quite high, though I think thats to be expected. Had to disable openMP support in libsoxr, which might be why the load is high, anyway it works, so it's just a mater of waiting for squeezelite to release a new version and someone to build a proper extension for libsoxr Charliebrown88 wrote: > I am currently a user of TEAC UD-501, just bought a Rasberry Pi and > installed the Willem1 picoreplayer ... Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite
Been playing with picoplayer and the Aune (RaspPi), managed to get it working with normal mp3's but hit problems when playing 24bit 88Khz FLAC's, looks like squeezelite needs to upsample to 96KHz for this to work as the DAC doesn't support 88KHz. Can we get a release of picoplayer with the version of Squeezelite from the git repo, it supports a new flag "-u X" which apparently does the upsampling for you. I'm guessing picoplayer will also need libsoxr etc. for the resampling, assuming it's not already on there. currently I find -a 16::24_3:1 -r 96000 Works correctly, the default of 20 causes glitching.
