Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] LMS 64 bit or 32 bit on ClearOS
Thanks for your thoughts I may just stick with 32 bit then if it uses a PAE kernel. I guess I will ask the same question over on the ClearOS forums. bert1e's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1419 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96716 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
[SlimDevices: Unix] LMS 64 bit or 32 bit on ClearOS
Hi All I have just purchased a new HP Microserver and am awaiting its arrival. I will be buying more RAM for it and want to put in 8GB. Now does LMS run fine on 64 bit or would I be better off sticking with 4GB and going 32 bit? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] 7.7.0 - r33614 scanning reported indefinitely
On mine the scan for new files never finishes. The only way I have got scanning to work on 7.7.0 is by doing a clear and rescan the whole lot then it works. I havent bothered to report it as I dont add new music that often. There are numerous posts about scanning issues in the LMS forum so I figure I will retest when 7.7.1 is out and just live with it for now. -- bert1e bert1e's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1419 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92229 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Linux alternative to SqueezePlay?
lauret;675390 Wrote: You can find the code right here: http://github.com/terual/slimpy Please read the README, because you probably have to add a rule to convert.conf and to be able to stream 192kHz, you have to patch the server with the provided patch. Excellent keep at it alternatives are good :) Regarding 192Khz cant you just do bit rate limiting in server settings for your player? [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezeplay on O2 Joggler
Hi all I have successfully installed Squeezeplay on my O2 joggler using this link http://www.tarkan.info/20100609/tutorials/launched-squeezeplay-on-the-o2-joggler and it has installed Squeezeplay v7.6 r8903m and it appears to start fine. Now here is my problem my server is Version 7.3.3 and I cant upgrade to 7.5.x as my ClarkConnect server is V4.2 and has an older version of Perl that will not support 7.5. I cant upgrade Clarkconnect to the latest ClearOS as it was originally built on V3.2 and upgraded to V4.2 according to the Clarkconnect forums I cant upgrade again. So is there a way of getting Squeezeplay 7.6 to connect to squeezecenter 7.3.3? If not I guess its finally time to look at rebuilding my server from scratch with the latest ClearOS(clarkconnect). -- bert1e bert1e's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1419 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80243 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

You could try downloading the linux tarball http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.3 and have a go at installing that. I am using clarkconnect 4.3 on an MSI Axis 700 lite which is via mini-itx based and luckily it uses rpm's so I just download the redhat package and install that.
