Hi Michael, Paul, thanks for your answers! mherger wrote: > Why would you want to run rustc on pCP? And the simple answer is: I am not too ambitious in getting something done here. All I wanted is tinkering around bit. Just like Paul wrote: paul- wrote: > In general, pCP was never intended to be a development platform. I was > tinkering with rust while trying to get firefox to run on pCP. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time available (or at least my ambitions are not high enough to justify spending my time) for setting up a development environment that would allow me to cross-compile for the Pi-Platform. chrober's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68912 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114828 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
Hi, I would need libLLVM-13.so on my piCorePlayer in order to run rustc: rustc: error while loading shared libraries: libLLVM-13.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I have seen the "piCorePlayer main repository" contains version 10 of llvmlib.tcz whereas the "Official piCore repository" would contain version 13. However, I don't succeed to replace the already installed version 10 with the the newer version 13. Uninstalling llvmlib.tcz fails ("llvm-lib.tcz cannot be deleted.") and updating from the "Official piCore repository" gives me "Invalid mirror selection for pcp-update". Does anybody have some hints how to get libLLVM 13 onto my piCorePlayer? Thank you Paul! I can confirm my pCP/LMS is back to normal now! You know, listening to the sounds of silence (not talking about a famous folk song) it is horrible when you are all alone in the home office. ;) So I am very glad I can finally enrich my home office work days with the music of my choice again. chrober's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68912 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115204 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] pCP 8.0.0- LMS does not start after "Update Libs"
I am running pCP 8.0.0 and also use its LMS. (the page footer of pCP web UI says "piCorePlayer | piCorePlayer v8.0.0 | www v00017 | linux 5.10.42-pcpCore-v8 (64) | piCore v13.0 | Squeezelite v1.9.9-1386-pCP") Earlier today I have pushed the "Update Libs" button on the LMS page of pCP's web UI. It did some updates and after the obligatory reboot LMS did not start anymore. Hitting the "Start LMS" button on the LMS page only gives me the following: Code: [ INFO ] Starting LMS... [ INFO ] Slimserver is not Running Rebooting does not solve the problem. What can I do to get LMS back to functional? chrober's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68912 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115204 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer v7.0.0: network disk mount -- retry settings not working
Hi Paul, thanks for looking into this! I have just rebooted pCP with my NAS (from where I mount the shares) still in its boot phase. Here's the log file: /var/log/33225 I have currently configured my shares using CIFS (just for testing purposes). Originally, I was using NFS but that did not work either (same result, i.e. no mount retries). +---+ |Filename: pcp_boot.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33225| +---+ chrober's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68912 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113837 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
[SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer v7.0.0: network disk mount -- retry settings not working
Hello, in the "LMS" config section of piCorePlayer v7.0.0 there is a possibility to define mount points for network shares. This gives me a possibility to define the "Maximum wait for remote network at boot." The descrption of this config property says: > During a reboot, pCP will keep retrying to mount network drives for this > amount of time. This should be set long enough for the remote system to > reboot during a power on event. Retries will be done in 10second > intervals. However, I do not get this waiting/retry mechanism to work. During the pCP boot phase I see console outputs telling me it attempts to mount the network share for three times with a 10 second waiting period in between. That's it. Whatever value I set for "Maximum wait for remote network at boot." (e.g. 300 seconds), I do not recognize any attempts to mount the network share. Is this is bug? Am I doing something wrong?
