Went thru the steps on the web interface and it worked. I also noticed a "small" instruction that said to make sure that immediately after you hit reboot to remove the ethernet cable quickly. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 6.0.0
I just installed 6.0.0 on my new RP 4. All is well when I connect to ethernet. However, I am trying to run it with the built-in wifi. I run setup and enable wifi. I then enter my SSID, password, and WPA. It all seems to take. But then when I re-boot, it says network connectivity fails. When I go back into setup, all the information I entered for wifi is gone. Am I missing something? [SlimDevices: Unix] exporting using Database Query plug-in
I have RP 4 and I just added this plug-in so I can export some of the information into a CSV file. However, when I attempt that, instead of creating a CSV file, it creates a binfile. [SlimDevices: Unix] MusicIP on Raspberry Pi 4
I just installed my first Pi and running LMS 7.9.2 - all is good. However, on my Windows 10 LMS server, I run MusicIP as well and thought that the installation was pretty straightforward. I have seen some posts that go thru steps on installing MusicIP on a Pi/Linux but they are way above my skill set. Are there any simple steps for doing this installation? [SlimDevices: Unix] Ubuntu upgrade causes re-install of SB server
I just upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10...no problem, until I try to get to the SB server and it wouldn't connect. I looked at the log files but I didn't see anything that stood out for me. So I decided to re-install the SB server which fixed the problem. Anyone else run into this type of problem? Is there a different way that I should have upgraded Ubuntu to avoid this? -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82997 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
[SlimDevices: Unix] mounted external drive and suspend problem
I was able to succesfully mount my external drive that contains all my music onto the netbook that I'm using as my SB server. However, I have it set to suspend the system after a certain amoount of inactivity so that I can take advantage of the WOL ability of my SB Touch. Unfortunately, when it goes into suspend, it also unmounts the external drive. When it wakes up, the drive does not automatically re-mount itself to the proper partition. Using Ubuntu 10.4, SB 7.5.1 Any suggestions? -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80415 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] mounted external drive and suspend problem
Thank you for your quick help. Unfortunately, this is way above my head. I tried creating a udev rule but it didn't seem to do anything different. Then I found some information about making sure the drive is being unmounted properly before going into suspend mode by using a file under /etc/acpi and adding an unmount command that is supposed to run before going into suspend mode. But I wasn't sure how to implement that either. Anyway, any other, simple solutions based on the unmount logic or any other way? Thanks again. -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80415 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
