Success!!! I had to reboot my sound processor to get the RPi to work,
but everything is a go.

Huge thanks for your expertise and assistance!

No, but obviously I am lost. I have set up a samba share on my Ubuntu
PC, and want to be able to send its content through the RPi to my sound
system. I have been successful in attaching a portable USB HD to the
RPi, and accessing its contents via the LMS on pCP.

I am unable to enter any text into the Setup Network Disk Mount on pCP.
The cursor remains an arrow no matter how many times I click in the
boxes, and as you can see in the screenshot, the name of my wifi network
and password is already entered. I cannot change that, and the entries
are incorrect in terms of the network share.

I can access the music share from another Linux machine on the network
(I have not used windows in 12 years now!). And isn't samba a client as
well?

Thanks for checking! For the RPi to have a wired connection is not
really possible, as it is more than 50 feet from my router. And it
worked fine for awhile, until the network disk mount mysteriously
stopped.

Thanks for the FS info! It is indeed strange, because I can access all
the other text boxes except in the Setup Network Disk Mount choices.
However, the username and password fields are already filled in, but
with the WiFi network info. Perhaps this is what is causing the
problem, but I do not know how to get rid of it.

The only firewall is on the router. The only text added to smb.conf

browseable = yes

I have installed and set up 4.1.0, but cannot enter anything into the

Thanks, Paul! I do have access to the SD card, but in order to activate
the RPi WiFi with the new version I would need to first hardwire it to
my desktop computer, no? IIRC, it was somewhat difficult to get the
WiFi network recognized by the pCP scan the first time round.

I downloaded a file named mac from the url, and placed it in
/usr/local/bin/

I then stopped and restarted LMS, but it still does not allow me to add
.ape files to the playlist.

I could not find the latest 7.9.1 nightly build at that url.

Help appreciated! Thanks.

Thanks for this, but it does not work with my LMS server. I can see the
.ape files, but there is no way to add them to the playlist. I get this
error message: No playable items found. Only audio files can be

much learning and sharing. Thanks to everyone who makes this possible!

I just got an RPI 3B with HiFiBerry digi+ add-on board, and loaded
piCorePlayer 3.10-audio. It comes up with an IP address in my router,
but I cannot access the board via SSH. I get a "cannot connect" error
message. This occurs whether using Putty or a terminal from my Ubuntu
16.04 desktop computer.

I had to install openssh-server on all my computers in order to access
them via ssh over the LAN, so perhaps therein lies the problem with the
RPi. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
