For me, it is still not working as it should be. i created the file /etc/SuSE-release and reinstalled the software I can now manually start the service with Code: systemctl start logitechmediaserver.service but it won't start on boot. Code: systemctl enable logitechmediaserver.service gives me the error: Code: Failed to enable unit: Unit /run/systemd/generator.late/squeezeboxserver.service is transient or generated . Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeeze on Arch - developer version
Since the last update i'm experiencing play back problems. Im using a Raspberry Pi B+ with a Hifiberry Digi+ board. Sound stops after a few seconds and after a while the music will start again. For a short time though. With SOA from a month ago everything played perfectly. I'm not shure where to look. It could be the 3.18 kernel, the Digi+ drivers. Changing buffer size doesn't seem to make any difference. Error logs give me some of these messages but i'm not shure what they mean: [23:25:17.232199] stream_thread:278 poll timeout [23:25:17.332731] stream_thread:278 poll timeout [23:25:17.433246] stream_thread:278 poll timeout Any suggestions? pimd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19488 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeeze on Arch - developer version
It seems to be just as simple as that. While SOA was intalling I connected using putty. disabled timedatectl (timedatectl set-ntp false), edited /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf en restarted timedatectl. And within a few minutes the install completed! Considering my Hifiberry Digi+, there is an Audio Device hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry. But still no sound, my DAC isn't locked from the spdif, so i have to dig into that now. pimd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19488 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Sorry but the exact moment when the looping starts is hard to catch. The journalctl starts again after the restart and I just missed the end. Squeezelite was not installed. Yes, i did try the install image 3 times. But i kept getting lots of different errors. I will be happy to try it again if you can show me how to capture the output to a log file. Now i have SOA up and running although my Hifiberry Digi+ isn't working. It would be nice if SOA would make it to this page: http://www.hifiberry.com/guides/supportedsoftware/. [SlimDevices: Unix] server doesn't start up in Suse 11.2
I always used Suse 11.1 with no problems. After upgrading to version 11.2 I encountered the problem of not being able to start Squeezebox Server. This problem is described somewhere else in these forums. I have not seen a full solution for this so far. When Squeezeboxserver was dead i restarted it by restarting my Suse 11.2 server. Not pretty but it worked. After upgrading to Squeezebox Server 7.5 the server completely doesn't start up anymore. Not at the boot my server nor by hand. This time my only workaround is to reinstall Squeezebox Server. Now that's not pretty, that's ugly... Is there a manual command to (re)start Squeezebox Server 7.5 on Suse 11.2? And is someone working on the Suse 11.2 problems? -- pimd pimd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19488 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77944 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
