I adopted the year zero approach, downloaded a new copy of the software, reformatted the card and reinstalled. It now seems to work. I did exactly the same before and it didn't work so quite what the difference is I have no idea. richardkendell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65575 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeezelite - a small headless squeezeplay emulator for linux (alsa only)
I have a Pi 3 with picoreplayer installed. Neither my LMS server on my PC or my OrangeSqueeze controller on my tablet will sync with the picore device regularly (but both do occasionally). The pi is connected to my router via wifi and I can access the pCP main page. When I look at the Operations Details it says "Squeezelite not running". If I go into Tweaks it says "Automatically start Squeezelite when pCP starts" and this is set to yes. I can't understand what else I am supposed to do to set Squeezelite running from the start. Can anyone help? richardkendell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65575 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Thanks for all the work but perhaps you can help me with a problem. I have loaded the SD card, put it in the Pi3 and waited while the start up text ran through on the screen. It now says "Finished Picoreplayer setup" with the next line tc@picoreplayer:~$. I had assumed it would start up automatically and I cannot understand what I am expected to input next. It's all very new to me so any guidance would be appreciated. richardkendell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65575 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105018 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelit
I have just bought a Pi 3 with the intention of using a Squeezebox type program. Having previously downloaded picoreplayer I spent an unsuccessful couple of hours trying to get it working to discover that the web site now says the program does not work on Pi 3. Does anyone know it a Pi 3 version is in the pipeline? If so when is it due to be released? If not can anyone suggest an alternative program that does work with the Pi 3?
