That's exactly what I originally wanted to create but how I've ended up
designing my multiroom setup means the pi's are a considerable distance
from where I will be when controlling them. So I either need to extend
the pins by about 10 meters and run them through multiple walls, or go
wireless.
I think I can make the controls work using a wireless keyboard, but no
idea how to do a display

Oh, I've been mucking around on my microsoft wireless keyboard assuming
it was controlling picoreplayer- so that's actually controlling
jivelite? I suppose there's nothing wrong with that. Better than going
the ir route as I'm trying to make a wall mounted control pad and it
wont have line of sight.
I'll search the jivelite thread to see what the keys are.

While I'm on it, anyone have any cunning ideas to give my control pad a
text display? Could go full blown tablet for wireless, but I love the
simplicity of text. Anyway I could get the info via bluetooth or even
via the wireless keyboard dongle? Or am I pissing in the wind?

I'm pretty sure I've got that end of it configured ok. I can access it
pretty easy from various other programs, volumio found it and mounted it
very easy. Never managed to make it work with max2play though, which was
also using LMS.

One of those links you sent enabled me to map the network drive on my
windows machine and give its own drive letter, not sure if I can use
that to help me.

I am also running kodi on a chromebox on the same network, and using its
library drive as a mount point happens seemingly automatically with
everything, very easy.

I don't seem to be able to get samba share working on pcp. Could that be
related?

I suppose I could plug a drive directly into one of the pis, but it
would just be so much more convenient if I could keep it tucked away
with the router.

Any ideas? I really feel like I've configured everything correctly, I'm
sure it will just turn out to be something stupid like a space in the
wrong place2348723488

Pi 3 pcp with combo LMS server and squeezelite player. Pi b+ with pcp
squeezelite.

I've been trying various different players and systems to get
synchronized playback on both players and just installed pcp last night
or the night before. Seems pretty simple and effective so far.
Mainly I just use Spotify, or AirPlay to individual players but I'd like
to be able to access music on drives plugged into my router. Some
systems have been easy to do that, some have taken me longer...
Anything else?

What do you use pcp for if it isn't an lms server? Just a squeezelite

Similar I think.
It might be because the shared folder name on my router that the shared

Not sure if I can change it or not.
