At your own risk disclaimer, as I have no knowledge of Daphile :) Try this:(I have just run it on my rpi 4b which has a Squeezelite instance installed) Start Daphile and play a radio station through it. While it is playing SSH into Daphile and run Code: sudo systemctl stop squeezelite.service if the music stops, then run Code: sudo systemctl start squeezelite.service the music should start playing again then run Code: sudo systemctl disable squeezelite.service on my raspberry pi I get this message Code: pi@BusterDesktop:~ $ sudo systemctl disable squeezelite.service squeezelite.service is not a native service, redirecting to systemd-sysv-install. Executing: /lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install disable squeezelite I did sudo reboot. I must have installed the original pCP when Daphile was on and was connected to the network. I have then saved so pCP looks for it on boot, it searches for up to 40 secs for the network before booting. I will try new installation, make sure Daphile is off and load pCP 8. Google is a friend. I found this through a search: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-run-a-raspberry-pi-program-on-startup/all scroll through to the systemd part, and How to Stop Your Program from Running on Boot You can stop your service from running on boot with the following command (replacing -clock.service- with your particular service filename): sudo systemctl disable clock.service Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114990 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] How to remove an external Player in pCP
@DIODE84 Well the only way I know, to delete the player, is to uninstall Squeezelite on the Daphile. I suppose you could stop Daphile from starting Squeezelite, but whether it would start Squeezelite on reboot I don't know. I guess Daphile uses systemd to start , stop and restart and I don't know how to cancel or prevent that command. Google would help here :) You could instruct the Squeezelite player on the rpi to use only that LMS 35506 so that when it starts, the player is already the default selection 35507 If you wanted to use the daphile player, then it would appear in the dropdown It's also possible to start playing a favourite by using the autostart function on the Tweaks page ronnie +---+ |Filename: 2pcpstartup.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35507| +---+ Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114990 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I use pCP all the time and it has the problem of two players. I rarely use Daphile, which is in another room but pCP has picked up it's player and now gives me the choice of two players. I want to delete the second player from pCP permanently. [SlimDevices: Unix] How to remove an external Player in pCP
Hello pCP gives me the choice of two players to choose from. My pCP system has a single player but I do sometimes use a Daphile system on the same network, with an M-Dac as a player and this is appearing whenever I start pCP even if the external system is off. How do I remove this external player. In Daphile I can select audio devices and disable any I do not want. Can I do this in pCP. Help appreciated.
