Without detailed logs it will be hard for people to help you trace and
resolve the issue.
If you are using Dynamic Playlists 3 then perhaps write a message with
details in the thread for that plugin.

not writing ?

Now, advanted search is not properly working. For example, i have MP3

That warning is a general purpose reminder ... that you should shutdown
LMS properly rather than simply turning off the power.

pCP without LMS can tolerate simply being turned off because it once it
is running it makes almost no use of the "disk".
However, that changes when LMS is running.
LMS frequently writes to the storage - and turning off while a write is
in progress can make a mess of the file system and if it was writing the
its underlying database then it is possible that LMS would not restart
on reboot.

Have to go out ... but just tried same steps with 8.2 ... and TV remote
not working.
Damn.

sudo cec-ctl --monitor
does not show the IR commands coming in.
but that worked fine on 8.0

Will retrace my steps tomorrow.

... I went back to pCP 8.1 and it didn't work ... then back to 8.0 and
it didn't work ...
so just before I tried 8.0b3 (where I am pretty sure I had it working) I
tried one more thing ...

I now have 8.1 with TV remote working.

Trick was to give explicit amount of gpu_mem in config.txt
I had been commenting it out which I thought would default to 64 on RPi1
but seems like that is not enough.
So I put
gpu_mem=80
in config.txt along with the dtoverlay for kms plus adding the
v4l2-utils extension and the cec-ctl --playback in the Tweaks for
startup.

The cursor keys work - which is enough to do basic things in non-grid
skin.

Would be great if someone in pCP team can repeat this success.

Now going to rewrite the SD as 8.2 and see if the gpu_mem change is what
I needed there as well.

Thanks you Paul. Ok i now undestand the value added to use a Libray
instead of palylist.

I have tried with 20 answer and it work perfectly. But with the one i
have 490 answers i have a black screen (when i select a song on all
album selecter with all song). I have wait for a long but nothing
append.

Is there a maximun size to select all album and all song ?? Is it a bug
with raspberry harware ?

Thanks a lot

Try adding some more criteria to the search - e.g. artist name starts
with "a" or year after 1999.
Make it very restrictive at first just to see if it works.
If it does then perhaps the size was the issue.

With a real playlist you would have to remember to add to it when new
tracks are added to your system.
With the Library View or Dynamic Playlists the data is updated
automatically when new tracks are added or old ones removed.

Another approach could be to use "Library Views".
First do the "Advanced Search" and then when that is providing the

then you can select that view when you want to play some or all of those
