Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezebox Server wants to uninstall mythtv
you should be Ok with upgrades at present, however, I think the next version isn't too far away. If it worries you the nagging just disable the repository until there is a new version. Alternatively change the rep back to stable and it will go away until the new production version is out. -- mudlark SB3>CyrusDACX>PreXvs>ESPAudio P09B Active filter>NAP140+260A>Rhapsody, Avondale and Naim cable, Kubuntu Karmic Koala servers, various boxes for storage. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezebox Server wants to uninstall mythtv
Hi Richard, I managed to get this to work by using the testing stream of sbs. Can't remember exactly where I got the instructions but I'm guessing that you've done most of the same google searches that I did! :-) only problem I have now is that sbs wants to upgrade and I'm not sure that I want to take the chance on breaking what I have working. good luck rb -- rankbajin rankbajin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34908 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72522 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezebox Server wants to uninstall mythtv
I can't get the "testing" version (7.4.2) to work. The server.log file has the following error repeated multiple times, hence my desire to try the released version: Code: 2009-12-28 00:48:09 squeezeboxserver_safe started. You could try installing 7.4.2 testing if you are prepared for any messing about... -- mudlark SB3>CyrusDACX>PreXvs>ESPAudio P09B Active filter>NAP140+260A>Rhapsody, Avondale and Naim cable, Kubuntu Karmic Koala servers, various boxes for storage. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezebox Server wants to uninstall mythtv
Hi rb, Did you ever get this resolved? I'm hitting the same issue too. :( If I install the beta version of SBS then I get a "can't connect to database" error. But I can't install the released version since I hit the same issue as you. -- Richard Wells Richard Wells's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12404 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72522 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
[SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezebox Server wants to uninstall mythtv
Hi All, Until recently I had a linux box running ubuntu 8.10 and mythtv 0.21 along with squeezecenter. When I upgraded ubuntu to 9.10 and mythtv to 0.22 I lost squeezecenter and so I want to install squeezebox server instead. My problem is that when I use the package manager it tells me that it's going to uninstall mysql 5.1 and mythtv and then install mysql 5.0 Obviously I don't want mythtv to be removed as it took me some time to get it running initially and so I've been reluctant to continue. Is this something that anyone else has seen and if so, how did you get round it? I'd really rather not have to reinstall mythtv and it seems strange that the SS install wants to downgrade mysql. thanks in advance for any help rb -- rankbajin rankbajin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34908 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72522 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
