Im sure BerryBoot author will eventually also create custom image, maybe it's prioritised on demand. Btw update problems I was referring to, it was actually with BerryBoot. I'm not 100% sure if I ever used PINN..hmm maybe once . Still glad it allows for updates. godzini...@gmail.com wrote: > > > In terms of question about library - I was asking about creating a view > for all my tracks from entire library, without using any criteria such > as year, genre, etc. The LMS is missing this kind of view by default but > this is quite common view for almost all known (for me) audio systems > (DAPs, Android apps, Windows apps, etc) - as common as > Artist/Album/Genre views. What will be use case of this? -If it was to find song by title - you have quick search which is way more convenient -If it was to shuffle all your songs - you have Random Mix ..which will give you some result. I'm clearly missing smth here, but don't know why would you need that? 3x Squeezebox Touch, 4x Squeezebox Radio, Squeezelite (RPi 3B with HiFiBerry DAC+Pro on OSMC), Material Skin Apk, Squeeze Commander, Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 with Material Skin (Docker in DS218+) Jaca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58187 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115848 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Problem with the multiboot using PINN was resolved by the PINN author on my personal request. Image was prepared and it is working without any issues. So all of you: feel free to join the mutliboot family with piCorePlayer :) And you does not need to reinstall image with the new version under PINN - updates are maintained directly from the piCorePlayer - the same as for regular, direct image. I was asking author of BerryBoot to prepare compatible image for this system but without response. In terms of question about library - I was asking about creating a view for all my tracks from entire library, without using any criteria such as year, genre, etc. The LMS is missing this kind of view by default but it is common view for almost all known (for me) audio softwares (DAPs, Android apps, Windows apps, etc). And of course I am using the Material skin for the LMS :) Also for the Android controller :) godzini...@gmail.com's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72522 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115848 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I personally would advise against going with multi boot. Although it seems like smart idea, it can actually creates headaches. From my experience it's better to keep it simple and if you really want to use rpi for dual etc purpose get another sd card.. Ideally you want dedicated rpi always on LMS.. If you really need a multi boot, I believe you can request image from Berryboot.. Saying that please remember you will need new image when you wanna update. (Unless smth changed since I tried it.) Regarding library question.. I'm not entirely sure what you meant, but you can create Library Views which basically separate your library into smaller chunks with all tracks meeting certain criteria.. No need to rely on playlists. Assuming you are new.. Please check material Skin plugin which allows for quick library view switching. [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 8.1.0 image for RPi multi boot software (PINN or BerryBoot) and library
Hello community. I am looking for a solution to run the newest piCorePlayer (8.1.0 64 bit?) on my Raspberry Pi4B under the multi boot software PINN or BerryBoot. I was struggling with creating the image by my own. Maybe some of you already created a blank image or have some advice for me? Are it even possible? The piCorePlayer is based on piCore distribution for which these multiboot images are available so I think that piCorePlayer should run in this way too. Second question: how to create a library entry for all track collections? Is it possible? Manual creation of a playlist containing all tracks is the only way? Thanks! Right now I am using Docker versions of the LMS and Squeezelite under OpenMediaVault custom Intel machine.
