Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Can My PiCorePlayer do other things too?
Pretty much what is in our repo is what you can install from the web interface. Or tools commonly used with the RPI. We do offer a gcc/build toolchain if you want to take a stab at compiling things. I build everything natively for pCP, except for the kernels which are cross compiled. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. I'm thinking of JRiver Media > Centre which I use for all my music management Hi Craig In "Advanced" mode on the "Main Page" of the piCorePlayer web-GUI you have the option: Extensions Press that Extensions button - and you're presented with the first tab = Information. Click "Available" tab and there's a list of available extensions that can be installed from the piCorePlayer repository. I know you asked about stuff like JRiver, but this is the list of what's available. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Can My PiCorePlayer do other things too?
So it sounds like I'd need to install a Linux build, get LMS working then install a build of Media Centre and get it all playing nicely together. I think I'll stick with PiCorePlayer because it's working like a charm. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Can My PiCorePlayer do other things too?
piCorePlayer, is purely focused on the LMS ecosystem.. I have no reason to run others, so I don't spend time to develop (Not that I have extra time to kill either :) piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Can My PiCorePlayer do other things too?
You can try Raspbian OS, install LMS and Squeezelite then https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=115513.0 I run Raspbian Desktop OS with LMS, Squieezelite, a seperate Spotify-Connect, so it might just work (I'm thinking, not at the same time :) ). I have tried the jriver stuff on a rpi ( 2018 I think it was ) but found it flakey, I was not going to pay to find out if it got less flakey :):), but then I'm not a -Citizen of the Universe- ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111330 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
