Jasig is preparing a comprehensive new licensing policy that will adopt the Apache 2.0 License and provide for Contributor License Agreements. This new policy will cover the existing projects, uPortal and CAS, as well as new projects and portlets under incubation. Compliance with the new licensing policy will become one of the major criteria for projects to emerge from incubation and become full Jasig projects.
We have posted a public review draft of the proposed policy on the Jasig wiki site, including our rationale for the change.
