*Client – State of NC* *6 Months+* *Raleigh, NC* Client is currently seeking to fill a *6+* *month* contractor position for a *Data Architect *on a project with one of our direct clients here in *Raleigh, NC*. The position may be extended based on budget, need, and individual's fit within the department. The manager is only interested in local candidates at this time and will require a* face-to-face interview* for selection. The ideal candidate will have experience *specifically within the public sector, preferably State or local government.* The selected candidate will work with the project team to identify and determine database structural designs, establish data standards and controls, and data integration activities and modeling to support future reporting activities. This individual will also provide data architecture support for other client initiatives such as the Child Protective Services Pilot. Data Architect needs to be able to have an end-to-end vision, and to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive stages to reporting. They will need to be able to address issues of Data Migration(Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand the importance of Data Dictionaries. Experience leading data architecture activities and be able to work in a team environment are critical. The data architect must have experience across all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to database optimization.
