Develop software changes for promotion to production following best practice and standards as defined by the ODPS ITO. · Take corrective action, subject to the ODPS Management approval, to resolve all issues and problems encountered with testing to ensure the applications perform as required. · Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts. · Perform, maintain, create and execute load tests on applications as needed based on defined processes *Education/Experience/Skills Required: * · Strong communication/ leadership skills. · Strong influence, collaboration and negotiation experience. · Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines. · Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills. · Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines. · Have strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements. · Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills. · Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language. · 10 Years in testing I.T products and applications. · 5 Years automation experience using MS Visual Studio Coded UI, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager · 5 Years of verifiable .NET Development/scripting experience in C# · 5 Years in End to End Test Automation experience · 5 years of verifiable experience with SQL Server Database Design and development including optimization of queries, creating tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. · 5 Years demonstrated experience in converting existing manual test cases to automation scripts. · 5 Years conducting test case reviews to ensure scenarios accurately capture business functionality. · Contributes to continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of QA and development. · Excellent communication skills both written and oral Needs to show at least 1 year Quality Assurance experience in a technical capacity with a large organization as ODPS. The experience must encompass the writing of test strategies, test scenarios, test plans and test scripts. · Must have at least 1 year experience working on Agile/Scrum I.T. projects. · Must have experience working with Microsoft Test Manager on at least one project · 1 year experience or a demonstrable understanding of code repository strategies, code promotion strategies and recovery using Team Foundation Server. · Experience with load and performance testing in a multi-tier application tiers with multiple servers and SQL Server clusters. · Experience in analyzing the results of the testing to determine solutions to problem areas. · Certifications in Software Testing Field. · Programming background. · Certifications in Microsoft tools and technologies. · CRUD Testing experience · Test coverage and estimations experience · Must meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner and strive to increase productivity JOB TITLE-*Cognos Developer* Malden MA 6+ months *Commonwealth of MA – Candidate must be local* The client has several new data warehouse initiatives underway and has a need for a Senior Cognos consultant to assist in the implementations. The candidate will work with the current Cognos applications and their future extensions that enable end-users to analyze a schools performance at multiple levels. The candidate will work with other members of the Data Warehouse team to resolve technical and data issues for the district users. The individual should be analytically oriented and be able to work as part of a small team. Cognos 10 is the standard BI tool. We plan to move to Cognos 11 in the future. Description 1. Implement Cognos reports as defined by business users, 2. Deliver, maintain, and troubleshoot as well as enhance BI functionality and apply the toolset for Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse solutions 3. Performance tuning of Cognos reports 4. Work with technical specifications and related documentation 5. Data Warehouse and SQL knowledge (3-5 years of essential experience) 6. Implementation of Cognos cubes 7. Collaborates with business users and works well within a large team 8. Develops, supports and implements Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, multi-dimensional cubes, and relational models as well as complex reports. 9. Utilizes skills and business knowledge for the migration of applications to Dev, UAT and Production environment. Required qualifications: 1. 5+ years experience with all Cognos components and 1+ year as part of that with Cognos 10, including: a. Framework Manager b. Report Studio 2. Strong SQL skills 3. BA/BS in Computer Science or related field. 4. Must be organized and detail-oriented. 5. Must have a team player attitude. 6. Proven experience working effectively with Business and IT partners. 7. Strong communication, both written and verbal. 8. Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective reporting solutions. 9. Designs, develops, tests, implements and supports reporting solutions and enhancements. 10. Creates and maintains documentation to support the full software development lifecycle 11.
