In this role you'll leverage your technical background to bring balance to the technical and business needs on your projects. You'll provide technical guiideance to project team members in support of complex application features and technical designs. *TARGET PROFILES(in order of desirability)* #1 - Local -- PM 11+ years, large project experience #2 - Non-Local willing to travel/relo -- PM 15+ years, large project experience *SKILLS - CORE:* Project Management -- Large Scale Projects Is the contractor willing to have DOT perform a background check? SKILLS - MAJORITY REQUIRED: RFI and RFP creation and evaluation Gather and document requirements Prepare written reports Demonstrated competence in guiding an organization in preparing agency staff to adopt policy, business processes, IT, and other changes as needed to effectively implement a new major IT system. Experience and competence in assembling and managing a team of experts from a variety of disciplines and organizational levels to develop solutions to wide-ranging and sophisticated business challenges. Experienced project manager or leader Progress tracking Project Management/Planning: Experience with creation of detailed work plans using automated tools, preferably MS Project Project Management of Application Development and Support of CICS/DB2/Cobol/JCL Mainframe systems using ChangeMan CNTL-M Project plan development Resource planning and management Scope management Strong verbal communications skills with ability to clearly present information and ideas to groups of ten or more managers and/or staff. Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills Mainframe Application Experience (SQL/COBOL/JCL/DB2) Including ability to Identify and create Web and client-server application development experience, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support Web Project management experience designing, planning and coordinating work teams.
