   - HTML (5 is optional)

*Looking for technical hands-on senior developer role who can also wear the
hat of solution architect from time to time. Primary required expertise in
Microsoft development technology stack (C#, .NET, SQL server), some
front-end skillset such as Javascript, HTML5, Jquery, CSS3, and data
integration experiences such as SSIS/Tibco/Informatica.*

*Role:*

The successful candidate will be a member of the Film Technical Solutions
and Operation team, within the NBCU Technology organization. The role will
focus on the software development, enhancement, maintenance and support of
applications in the Film portfolio in support of the NBCUniversal Film
business.

 *Essential Functions (Responsibilities):*

   - Serve as the technical owner and developer of specific applications as
   part of a team that supports projects for new application development
   - Serve as part of a team that owns the production support with a large
   and diverse portfolio of applications, some of which are business critical
   with high visibility that occasionally require support into off-hours
   - Partner with our business engagement Technology teams to get the
   requirements and priorities of application support requests
   - Operate in a matrixed organization as part of project teams for the
   design, development and rollout of new applications
   - Build and maintain relationships with the technical and operational
   teams to improve operational effectiveness
   - Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep
   abreast of new and emerging technologies and help determine if/how they can
   be used to add value to the business
   - Act as a change agent: anticipate technology opportunities and propose
   solutions
   - Participate in project and operational reviews, and help produce the
   necessary technical artifacts such as architecture diagrams, defect
   analysis documents, application performance metrics, etc. in support of the
   Film projects and existing applications
   - Partner with NBCU Technology shared services teams to plan and manage
   technology standards, architecture and solution design principles

 *Qualifications / Requirements:*

   - B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar
   technical discipline
   - 5-7 years of experience developing software solutions to address
   business needs, applying software disciplines, 3+ years as a senior
   developer
   - 3-5 years of experience in application production support, and have a
   structured approach to troubleshooting issues and bug fixes
   - Deep understanding of system architecture, integration, and software
   development processes along with experience designing and architecting
   applications in web, client-server and mobile environments
   - Excellent experience reviewing functional requirements and design
   specifications to solidify technical feasibility together with detailed
   development estimates and work break-down structures
   - Excellent experience developing and configuring applications per the
   technical design specifications, and working in a team environment where
   status updates are communicated to project managers and/or technical leads
   - Experience in primary web development languages, methodologies, and/or
   architectures such as *C#, .NET, ASP, IIS, HTTP, HTML5, CSS3,
   Knockout.js, jQUERY, JSON, Web Services, AJAX,* physical- , virtual- and
   cloud hosting platforms
   - Experience in *SQL* Server database design, stored procedure
   development and implementing standard data access layer framework (Entity
   framework)
   - General overall understanding of database, network, storage, and
   compute infrastructure
   - General understanding of security technologies, processes, and
   concepts such as *PKI, SSL,* firewalls, authentication  authorization
   and Single Sign-On
   - General experience using defect tracking tools
   - General experience with change management processes for application
   and configuration deployments
   - Excellent written and verbal communications
