Our culture is fast-paced, purposeful, and upbeat. *Position Summary* The Performance Testing & Engineering team is a group of highly skilled engineers who help design, test, and monitor high-performing Client products. In addition to a diverse and deep technical understanding the team members are experts in supporting large-scale web hosting operations. Our Client is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to work on performance tuning & testing multiple projects with aggressive delivery schedules. This position will be responsible for managing projects as well as testing of multi-tiered distributed applications. An individual with a strong background in performance testing, experience administering HP Performance Center and/or in web development is well suited for this position. Knowledge of multiple application infrastructures and strong communication skills are required for this position. *Technologies* o Platforms: Linux, Windows, VMware, Cloud Computing o Load Testing: HP Performance Center, LoadRunner o Applications: Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Nginx o Databases: MySQL, SQL Server o Monitoring: Keynote, Splunk, HP SiteScope, Application Performance Monitoring *Responsibilities* o Develop test strategies using project artifacts as well as in depth interviews of architects and development leads o Create or modify performance scripts for Web based applications using HP Performance Center with multiple protocols o Execute performance tests on applications to assure capacity and stability of the applications meets requirements for production deployment. o Monitor all impacted systems for network connection disruptions as well as any obscure application behavior resulting from a network anomaly o Measure resource consumption of components and processes and latency at measurable points in the systems under test o Identify application bottlenecks and assist engineers with improving application performance and reducing latency o Communicate performance testing results and identify areas for improvement with stakeholders at all levels o Manage project deliverables and drive delivery of performance output with project managers, developers, and peers o Provide interim reports as well as a final report that summarize results to senior management *Education and Experience* o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a high tech environment. o The right blend of technical and business analysis skills to ensure successful implementations o Excellent written/oral communication skills; comfortable giving demonstration *Skills and Knowledge* o Understanding of various front end application architectures and the tier to tier communications o Measurement points of various systems and metrics for analysis of issues and risk. o Advanced programming skills in C/C++/J2EE programming or Perl scripting for Unix or Linux operating systems o Excellent analytical skills and extensive troubleshooting experience o Project management experience as well as excellent presentation and communication skills o Thorough understanding of distributed systems, Internet principles and statistical data analysis. o Extensive experience using HP Performance Center -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
