Test responsibilities primarily involve licensing testing but this role will also contribute to data quality, functional and security test automation work on the iLearnNYC project as needed. Excellent communication and writing skills will be used to document test goals, implementation details and results.* * *Report to: *Director of Quality Assurance* * *Key Relationships: *Interfaces with QA, program, development and infrastructure teams to communicate status, and to troubleshoot problems in testing, tools and environments. Interfaces with third party vendor(s) as needed to resolve issues impacting testing. Conducts training and knowledge transfer about testing to QA and non QA team members as needed. Maintains defects found in TFS defect repository. Prepares status reports as requested by team. *Responsibilities:* 1. Conducts manual and automated functional, security, and performance testing. 2. Conducts analysis of requirements and specifications necessary to create test plans, cases and scripts 3. Interacts with members of the project, QA and development teams to ensure that test requirements are clearly defined, documented, agreed to and prioritized 4. Contributes to the preparation of test data, writes and executes SQL and other scripts to verify data accuracy 5. Designs, builds and uses automated tools to improve the test effort and operational efficiency 6. Identifies and reports software defects and test findings using TFS Defect tracker. 7. Acts as Go To person for troubleshooting and clarifying test issues as they arise in test areas assigned 8. Supports training and knowledge sharing efforts about QA test platforms, tools, environments & scripts. 9. Conducts analysis of system usage and data to model user behavior effectively in performance test scripts 10. Authors performance test plans 11. Author and execute test scripts in Microsoft VSTS tool 12.
