*Title: Unix System Admin*
*Location: Hershey, PA*
*Duration: 3-6 months*
*Interview: phone + F2F/Skype*
*MUST HAVE:*
· 7+ years experience as a UNIX/Linux Admin including
administrating at least 2 of the following types of environments:
oSolaris (versions 8, 9, 10 preferred)
oRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) (versions 5, 6, 7 preferred)
oSuse Linux (versions 10, 11 preferred
· Extensive experience writing scripts to automate day to day tasks
· Strong network knowledge and experience with network protocols
such as TCP/IP and DNS
· Experience providing resolutions to an extensive range of
complicated problems involving multiple teams and systems across multiple
data centers
· Comfortable working under limited direction independently
· Experience performing regular day-to-day Systems Administration
activities related to:
oUser administration (including LDAP)
oVolume management
oPackage management
oPatch management
oBackup and recovery/disaster recovery/fail-over exercises
· Experience installing and configuring enterprise wide
infrastructure tools supporting configuration management, server and
application monitoring, patch management, high availability
· Writing technical documentation, operational procedures, systems
documentation and Incident and problem communications and reporting.
· Assisting with the monitoring performance analysis of existing
applications and ensuring that the system is consistent with ongoing need
· Take part in after-hours on-call rotation schedule and weekend
activities as required
*NICE TO HAVE:*
· Veritas Cluster Server (HA
· Unix file systems/volume managers, shell scripting
· Puppet
· Control-M agents
· Solarwinds
· Red Hat Satellite
· Veritas suites (VOM, VCS, VxVM etc)
· Oracle Directory Server experience with Solaris Zones and VMware
virtualization
