What IS in tList?

Do you want to
groupt some controls and tList contains a list
of these objects?

If
yes, then we need to know the content of tList.
If not we need more

I think I understand now! (Call me
Sherlock! ;-)

You need to look at the "Examples" at "group" in the
dictionary! :-)
"tList" is just a placeholder in the docs!
You have to
use you own list of objects that you want to group, like this:
...

GROUP btn 1 AND button 2 AND field "nice field here"
## Now these 3
objects are grouped together!
...

R: using animated gif for a cursor on Windows

Ogg: using animated gif for a
cursor on Windows

Hi All,
I'm using an animated gif (rotating dot in a
circle) with the cursor on
Windows XP, but the gif doesn't animate in
LC v4.6.1.

the script:

on openStack
   lock cursor
   set the cursor
to 1019
  -- do stuff
   unlock cursor
   reset cursors
end openStack

I guess the question here is: does LC support animated gif's on Windows

OS in a cursor?
Or am I missing something in the script or the gif
itself?

Regards,
Mark Stuart

Hi Mario,

I'm pretty sure that it is possible, but what exactly do you want to do with
this variable, or with the question and the answer?

If you want to compare the two, try
if fld 1 of stack "Name of substack" is fld 1 of stack "Name of mainstack"
then...

If you want to put the field of the substack into the field of the mainstac, do
put fld 1 of stack "Name of substack" into fld 1 of stack "Name of mainstack"

Many thanks for the fast answer Mark
I would use directly the answer :
if it is "yes"... something..happens in the main stackIf it is "no"...
something different happens in the main stackregards mario

Mario,

The fastest way would be to take a screenshot of your icon and then
import them as image.
Then you could use them as icons again!

I extracted the HC icons and saved them to a stack quite a while ago. I
just uploaded it to RevOnline. Anyone who needs the original HC icons
can search there for a stack called "HC Icons".

Can you explain more about what you want to do? I don't understand why
you have css, or how css should apply to an About box.

Your About box should be a substack of the main app stack. Place text
fields, images, or other controls in it. Then show that stack when a
user chooses "About" from the application menu.

How upload..

2011-02-02 Thread bacches...@tin.it

Hi, I developed some small applications that I wanted to publish on the
AppStore Mac,
I have inscribed me as a developer for the Mac App Store,
I created the two certificates and Mac Mac App Installer,
I added up Itunesconnect my applications that are now waiting to upload
BUT
when I try to use Application Loader .. it does not see my applications
LiveCode created and placed on the desktop.
Must be a special operation at the time of the creation of applications with
LiveCode so that they can be seen from the Application Loader and then
sent for publication to Apple?

I think currently there's not yet many people who have send LC created stuff to
the App Store. This sound like you might get a faster recipe from the support
email (at runrev.com), then from the use list (here).

Also make sure you send plain text mail, your emails always contain weird stuff
like css snippets and such. Which might discourage people from responding.

I
was successful in submitting an app using the following steps:

0.*
Get your two certificates from Apple per their instructions.

1. save
the app in livecode

2. open the plist inside the package and do the
following:
(NOTE: your actual application type should be changed to
reflect your
application - see Apple's list. This is provided as an
example)
-add LSApplicationCategoryType public.app-category.
reference
-change the bundleversion from the number that Livecode
supplies to
your applications number so that it is in a 3 number two
dot format
i.e. 1.0..0

3. delete all .lproj folders from within the
Resources folder inside
the app bundle that you do not support

4. open
the terminal and paste the codesign line below (be sure to
replace
'myapp' with the name of your application)

5. Next, in the terminal
paste productbuild line below

6. Apple suggests that prior to
submitting to the Mac app store, the
installation process for Macs be
tested using the sudo command below.
the password is this computers
password for installing software

7. use apploader to submit the binary

==
Spaces are important!
PathToYourFile is in
the form you get if you use answer file from
inside LC with the
addition of your app name like this:
/Users/ron/Desktop/Folder/MyApp.
app

codesign -s 3rd -v PathToYourFile

productbuild --component
PathToYourFile /Applications --sign "3rd
Party Mac Developer Installer:
YourName" MyApp.pkg

sudo installer -store -pkg /Users/ron/MyApp.pkg -
target /

Hope this helps
Ron

Actually, you can
make a revlet resize based on the width and height of the web browser -
I can't remember where I picked up this trick, but here it goes:
-
create a new stack "ResizableRevlet" and draw an oval graphic on it
-
set the stack script to:
##
on preOpenStack
  -- resizeStack isn't sent
to the revlet at startup
-- so we have to trigger it ourselves in
preOpenStack
dispatch "resizeStack" with (the width of me), (the
height of me)
  pass preOpenStack
end preOpenStack
on resizeStack
pNewWidth, pNewHeight
set the rectangle of graphic "Oval" to \

10, 10, (pNewWidth - 10), (pNewHeight - 10)
  pass resizeStack
end
resizeStack
##
- play around with it first to make sure the resize
works
- perhaps add some color to the oval graphic
- now build it as a
standalone for the Web
- your web browser will open, but no resizing
happens
- modify the file 'test.html' in the build directory
-> change
the block:
##

##
->
to:
##

##
- now open the test.html
file again in your web browser
-> the revlet area should occupy 80% of
the browser window and resize as you resize the browser window
-> it
may flicker and/or temporarily show a gray or white area though, so use
this technioque sparingly

However, if you want to resize this based on
other parameters, I wish you the best of luck with JavaScript and HTML
DOM fiddling ;-)
