Happy New Year, and a gift for everyone

2005-12-31 Thread J. Landman Gay
If you are looking for a little project to fill the time on New Year's
day while you recover from the festivities, here's a 3D Runtime
Revolution dodecahedron calendar to play with. All you'll need is a good
pair of scissors, some tape or glue, and some card stock or heavy paper.
It's my gift to everyone this holiday season:

Remember to leave November till last or you will end up with nothing but
a 3D maze.

Happy new year to all!

Hi Jacque,

Nice JPEG :-)
You are right:
I wish to all of us a good pair of scissors, some tape or glue, and
some card stock or heavy paper in order to never forget what our
hands are able to do.

I love working without electricity :-)

Happy New Year to all!

Lovely! Thanks so much - cutting this out reminded me of the times
(many years ago) when I used to make polyhedra out of card as
described in a really excellent book - 'Mathematical Models' by H.
Martin Cundy, A.P. Rollet (Oxford University Press 1961, now sadly
out of print). I must look out my copy...

Anyway the little dodecahedron is now sitting happily on my desk.

Happy New Year and thanks again

Graham

Out of print? Bummer. I remember it fondly.
