'Applications' folder or the general one ?
- Have you checked the read/write permissions for the
directories where your files are placed ?
If my memory serves me right, there was an issue with
file permissions being set incorrectly in a version of
MacOS X ; maybe your fellow MacOS X users can point
you to the solution ?
Hope this helps clear things up,

Jan Schenkel.

Try booting up your computer with the OS X installation CD in the
drive. Hold down the C key while startup is taking place. Run the
permissions fix feature in the drive tools. You will be able to find
that in the menubar.

This should fix you right up. You may need to run it 2-3 times to get
it all cleared up.

I'll do that if the problem comes again.

This morningn right after the start up, the R-R code was saved right
away!

Thank you for your help!

2003-05-28 Thread Emmanuel Companys
Thanks to Ken Ray,, Jan Schenkel and Alex Rice, I could download R-R
2.0 and my code was accepted all right.

But when quitting I got a RR window saying:
There was an errot saving your licensing key. Check file permissions.
can't open stack backup file.

How to get out of this mess? Note a can't open back up file dialog
box began to appear yesterday using RR I.I.I, but only with the last
version of one stack.

That's what I get if I just click the link in IE/Mac... you have to
control-click and select Download link to disk in order to download
the .dmg file.

As for your RR 1.1.1 not working, that's very strange

The error window keeps reporting mistakes that have already been
corrected (for instance moouseup for mouseup) and prints in red the
words license time exceeded.

IIRC, the licensing scheme is such that you should be
able to use *any* version of RunRev published before
the expiry date of your renewal.
Besides, there is nothing wronf with my license, renewed last decembre:
my code was accepted for R-R 2.0 even though there it couldn't be saved
 (see my other post).

Thank you for your help

I am in trouble: since this morning my R-R 1.1.1
says license time
exceded ( my license has been renewed in
decembre!). My work is
stopped.
A few things spring to mind :
- what browser are you using ?
- have you tried to 'control-click' on the file to
save it to the desktop ?

But I was astonished, that there was no word about the
final Version 2 on the RunRev lists.

Yes, I'm quite astonished they've released a final 2.0 version, as I'm
still having serious problems with printing and distribution building in
RC1.

I'll be curious to see if all the reported bugs, including my own, are
gone from this final version.
