Do you have a logfile with the complete stacktrace? I guess this has a nested cause pointing to some system resources. If not, it is a good idea to add exception logging to this location in your app, so we can figure out next tjme this happens.
Which VFS method was throwi g tnis, is it resolveFile(String)? Do you always use the same password? Please make sure to send your answers to the user list, only.
