Did I miss a step on the installation? Where did you get this version of Forrest 0.7 from? I ask because the above mentioned input module is part of 0.8-dev not part of 0.7. The stable version of Forrest can be downloaded from http://forrest.apache.org/mirrors.cgi Ross
RE: Installation/Internal Server Error Cocoon related?
It came from the mirror ftp.wayne.edu but I'll try again. The zip archive is labeled: apache-forrest-0.7. -Original Message- From: Ross Gardler [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 11, 2005 12:21 PM To: user@forrest.apache.org Subject: Re: Installation/Internal Server Error Cocoon related? RE: Installation/Internal Server Error Cocoon related?
Just for fun, I also downloaded forrest 0.6. I am able to get this to run as a stand alone site and as a webapp although I get a build failed message when I do 'forrest' in the home directory. -Original Message- From: Woods, Christopher Sent: Friday, November 11, 2005 1:24 PM To: user@forrest.apache.org Subject: Installation/Internal Server Error Cocoon related? Okay. I went back to http://forrest.apache.org/mirrors.cgi and downloaded the current stable version from the mirror apache.roweboat.net. I followed the instructions found in the index.html file in the home directory and got the same result. Do I need to copy a properties file into Cocoon or something? Chris

No you shouldn't have to do anything special and this has not happened with the 0.7 releae. What is FORREST_HOME set to? Where have you installed the download? Ross
RE: Installation/Internal Server Error Cocoon related?
FORREST_HOME is set as follows: c:\apache-forrest-0.7 I am able to do 'forrest seed' and edit/view(static and dynamic)the resulting site but am still unable to view the forrest webapp. So its not really a problem more of an annoyance or peculiarity. Still I doubt it is related to the path as I can seed a new site and carry out normal editing tasks and view the results. If FORREST_HOME or PATH were bad this should not be possible or am I mistaken? Is the path the same as the install directory (it looks like it). There must be something unusual about your setup because this has never come up before. I'm just clutching at straws really looking for a clue as to why it is happening for you. Ross

I deployed some plugins, and they probably did not have the version number bumped to 0.8 What do you reckon? It is possible, although I don't think so since it is reported as working with forrest run and site, the problem is only in webapp. We need to do some testing locally to confirm this though. I'm going to bed very soon. If you have the time could you install a 0.7 version of Forrest and try and reproduce. Ross

I will report back when it is fixed. -David
