While recording capture header managers too ..

& then look at points mentioned by Sergio & Shmuel

You will need to capture them from a request & post them when you POST data.

Debug sampler ..helps in debugging what is stored in various variable's or
functions return value.

If it is regular expression - use regular expression extractor

Bean shell smapler - if it is java script that performs some operations &
returns value.

Re: standard/benchmarking value for loading a web page

2012-08-22 Thread Shaba K
Also a good start may be to get inputs from Omniture/Analytics team.

Who have data which shows which page in website user frequently visits

Though there are standards out there saying a page should load in less than
5 secs,However it is business or product owners who determine what it has
to be or what is acceptable.

There are ways of tweaking things.

Re: J Meter fails when thread count is increased.

2012-03-01 Thread Shaba K
You need to increase the heapsize i guess .

Distributed way of JMeter setup will cater your need .. i don't think
anyone can give you a go saying yeah your tests would work absolutely fine
...

It depends on the h/w your jmeter is running as well isn't it.

Xpath extractor

2012-01-14 Thread Shaba K
Hi All,

I am encountering a weird scenario.

I am in my testscript using xpath extractor as a post processor.

I am retreieving a cartId & passing it as a parameter in next request.

It works fine when i run the test for 2-3 users.

It fails when i run the same test for say about 10 unique users.

It alwayz returns null.

Any thoughts are welcome. ...

as each pack_id which is parent has 3 subpackages only

that's why added j<=3

1,1 =1,1,2=2,1,3=3
2,4=4,2,5=5,2,6=6
3,7=7,3,8=8,3,9=9
so on ...

Any advise from expert's is helpful.

Have increased heap size in Jmeter.bat file to 1G. But the actual issue is
with the Beanshell Script.

Am back again with issue of

having to map between parent & child events & sending them as http request
post data

here's how my bean shell looks

int countSubpackage =
Integer.parseInt(vars.get("Get_Subpackage_id_matchNr"));
int countPackage =   Integer.parseInt(vars.get("Get_event_Id_matchNr"));
for(int i=1;i<=countPackage;i++)
{
for(int j=1;j<=3;i++)
{ //regex counts are 1 based
   sampler.addArgument( "package["+ vars.get("Get_event_Id_" +
i)+"]"+"["+vars.get("Get_Subpackage_id_"
+j)+"]",vars.get("Get_Subpackage_id_"+j) );
}
}

now Count of Subpackage is 3
Count of package is 10

Each package has 3 subpackages.

http post looks like package[event_id][subpackage_id] = package id.

Integer.parseInt(vars.get("Get_Subpackage_id_matchNr")); i . . . '' :

Re: For Each Controller

2011-12-02 Thread Shaba K
Unfortunatley it doesn't solve my problem.

sampler.addArgument does append the arguments for post

But Parameters to be sent with request is formed like this

eventInTopPackage[${sub_pack_event_id_1}] = ${sub_pack_event_id_1}

We are mocking this.

It works absolutely fine.

is_incorrect : false,
programming_error : '',
error_message : '',
server : 'https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/',

Re: Extracting from JSON using Regular expression Extrator

2011-11-25 Thread Shaba K
Thanks Nermin,

Now got my head around how to pass

This returns

Match count: 1
Match[1][0]="params":"authp=nonce.style&style=mock&nonce=J6p_d26Ou_gDxxeOECHVwGZu3So&psig=9J0njCeWnb1z9JC-LVHDJH5eMtM"
Match[1][1]=authp=nonce.style&style=mock&
Match[1][2]=J6p_d26Ou_gDxxeOECHVwGZu3So
Match[1][3]=9J0njCeWnb1z9JC-LVHDJH5eMtM

I have to use the values retrived in Match[1][2] & Match[1][3] from this
response & pass as a request to another

Am passing as

k=${PUBLIC_KEY}&ajax=1&cachestop=0.6243942725806035&authp=nonce.style&style=mock&nonce=${PUBLIC_KEY_g_2}&psig=niY9QRuXgso7xsst2cgRtxvIW2w

stores values for user details

to why use WC.

It's not alwayz that we search.

If we know that there is event say a cricket match as there are different
prices for different seats i am having a different event_code.

Re: While controller

2011-11-11 Thread Shaba K
Within while controller.

${event_code} as a variable condition

where this variable is a UDV - assuming that i have 3 values that i am
passing.
I have set the second value as false.

Hoping that the loop should terminate.

It is not affecting at all.

===

Second suggestion on adding a debug sampler under a while controller.

it loops indefinitely just the first HTTP sampler.

There's something that i am missing.

Re: While controller

2011-11-11 Thread Shaba K
Ok , let me put this right.

There is no error in logs.

i have only 1 thread & i loop only once.

I have 5 HTTP samplers.

I am trying to achieve is pick new variable each time & go through all 5
samplers until you see a false..

have places while controler as parent to the http samplers.
