Using OFBiz service as a Web Servive

How can it be done in OFBiz.

Spam Bots - Placing orders in ofbiz - Denial of Service detection

We have an Ofbiz application where orders were obviously placed by a 'spam
bot'.  The payment Gateways thankfully rejected the credit card
transactions.  We were able to trace the IP address of these visits back to
a cloud hosted provider; unlikely a legitimate customer.  As a short term
fix we can block a specific range of IP addresses at the Web Server level
and not allow entry of these IP's to the application server.  However as
long term fix a solution that is able to detect these types of attacks would
be the way to go.

 

Is anyone in the community aware of a DOS (Denial of Service) attack
detection, which can be used at either the application or web server levels?

Production run inventory tracking

Should production runs be extended to allow for inventory to be tracked
within them?  The goal would be to determine where pieces located to
know the work load of a department.  Tasks don't support location
tracking but they do associate to FixedAssets which associate to
Facility

I had the same error message and a blank screen.
The reason was a typo in the page-reference 
of the screen component.



If the valid name is XXX.xml instead of xxx.xml 
this message occures (maybe it occoures also in other cases,
but with this typo I can produce a blank screen).

What is the best practice supported by OFBiz for managing customer 
relationships?
One normally has many contacts at a customer. Your sales people interact 
with end-users, buyers, managers and technical advisers working at the 
customer.

I assume
1)  the company and each of the people is a party.
2) each of the people parties have a relationship with the company
3) in this relationship the people have roles
4) your salepeople have a relationship with one or more of the parties

What is the right way to describe 2)? From their POV it is an 
employee-employer relationship. Fromoutside, I would expect that this an 
organization-agent relationship.
What is the best way to assign roles in the relationship 2) and 3) to 
make sure that OFBiz works well?
What is the type of relationship to handle 4). It looks like a 
CUSTOMER_REL with roles of CUSTOMER and ACCOUNT_LEAD.

After setting up a new product, receiving inventory, doing stock move, we
cannot see the product as available to ship. ATP is good, QOH is good. We
have literally examined all the setting in the products, inventory and
facility. Has anyone else come across this issue?
