2014-06-04 Thread Medhat

The demo-trunk URL :
https://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org/catalog/control/main

I found the following URL: https://www.ofbizdemo.com/catalog/control/main
as a demo-trunk

But when Use the following credentials
Username: admin
Password: ofbiz

I got the following Error message:
The Following Errors Occurred:

Any suggestions, or help?

When user "admin" is disabled on the demo-trunk ?

2013-03-25 Thread Medhat
Hi,

I am curious to know, why at some times the user "admin" with password
"ofbiz" is disabled on the demo-trunk, and at that time periods no account
is able to log in to the system?

Does this according to frequent build process? maybe on daily bases or
something like that?

Is there any document/reference represents the scheduled on/off times or
events for the demo-trunk?

Appreciating any knowledge share.

Medhat

Re: "Induce Model XML from Database" Is not formatted by any of the visual theme

2013-02-10 Thread Medhat Abdel Badie
Hi,

I got the purpose from this page, thank you for the clarification.

I am using PostgreSQL, but i have tried all datasource-names available and
got the following:

For datasource-names related to PostgreSQL, it returns the desired results.
For datasource-names related to Derby, it executes and returns empty lists,
which is correct and desired.

For the Rest of the datasource-names, all through the following Exception
Error:

:ERROR MESSAGE:
java.lang.NullPointerException

On demo-trunk the same Idea with the following results taking into
consideration that the database used is Derby DB.

For datasource-names related to Derby, it returns the desired results.

For the Rest of the datasource-names, all through the following Exception
Error:

:ERROR MESSAGE:
java.lang.NullPointerException

"Induce Model XML from Database" Is not formatted by any of the visual theme

2013-02-08 Thread Medhat Abdel Badie
Hi,

When Clicking the "Induce Model XML from
Database<https://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org/webtools/control/view/ModelInduceFromDb>"
link from Web Tools >> Entity Engine Tools >> Induce Model XML from
Database

The Page opened is not formatted by any of the visual theme.

I am using ofbiz-11.04.02 and This is the same behavior on the demo-trunk
using the following URL:

https://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org/webtools/control/view/ModelInduceFromDb

By the way, what is the objective of this page ?

Project 'ofbiz' is missing required library: 'framework/catalina/lib/tomcat-6.0.36-ecj-3.7.jar

2013-02-07 Thread Medhat Abdel Badie
Hi,

When I tried to open ofbiz-11.04.02 in Eclipse I got the following Error :

Project 'ofbiz' is missing required library:
'framework/catalina/lib/tomcat-6.0.36-ecj-3.7.jar

This Error preventing build from Eclipse but the project still be built
from command line prompt.

After Investigations i found the following:

The file : '.classpath' in the project installation directory contains the
following entry @ line 127

To solve this Issue Replace this line with the following entry

because the jar file shipped with ofbiz in the path:
"framework/catalina/lib/" has the file name: 'ecj-3.7.2.jar'

I hope this helps.

Medhat

Calculate Product Price from its cost

2012-07-17 Thread Medhat
Hi,

I have a Product 'A' with the following cost components:
 • Labor Cost = 1$
 • Material Cost = 2$

Product 'A' Price is the aggregation of its cost components, which means 1$
+ 2$ = 3$

Is there a way to let OFBIZ does this aggregation by it self ?
In other words, Can OFBIZ Calculate the Price as a summation of Product Cost
components ?

Appreciating your valuable feedback.

Medhat

Re: Calculate the weight of product from its components

2012-07-05 Thread Medhat
Hi Jacques,

Thank you for your valuable response,

Regarding to the product stored in the Inventory with UOM "Kg" and
sold/ordered in different UOM "gm".

Reference to your reply, kindly find my feedback.

The record
Exists in the "UnitData.xml" file && Exists in the
"UomConversion" Entity ==> (I checked Entity using Web Tools --> Entity
Data Maintenance)

The service "convertUomProduct" Exists in the file "
/applications/product/script/org/ofbiz/product/product/ProductUomFormulas.xml
"

But ..

UOM Conversion does not look take place, and this service does not look get
called !!

Usage Scenario -- Fail one--:

In "Edit Product" page ('Product' tab) -> "Measures" section , I set
the following fields as flows:

Product Weight= 1, Weight Uom Id = Gram [g]
Quantity Included = 1, Quantity UomId = Gram - g

&&

In "Edit Product Prices" Page ('Prices' tab) , I added the following Entry:

Price Type : Default Price
Price : 1
termUomId : weight: Gram (g)

&&

In "Inventory Summary For" Page ('Inventory' tab) -> "Inventory Summary"
section -> press "Receive Inventory" button
I did receive Inventory with

Quantity Accepted : 5

&&

In "Facility manager" app -> "Facilities" -> "Inventory Items" , after
selecting the received inventory Item just received above,
which has the : Accounting Quantity Total = 5
I updated the record with:

Uom Id : WT_kg

After that, When I order the product using : "Order Manager" ->
"Order Entry"

When set Quantity = 6 --> which i thought it is 6 Grams, I found the
"Order Items" as follows:
Quantity : 6
Inventory: ATP = 5 , QOH = 5 [1 Backordered]

Which means, the 6 in the Quantity was used as 6 Kg, and not 6 Grams !!

I am sorry for this long post, but i liked to be sufficient and descriptive.

Any suggestions, comments, guide line, descriptions, .. to what happened
here ?
Appreciating your help and Advice.

Regards,
Medhat

Calculate the weight of product from its components

2012-06-30 Thread Medhat
Hi,

I have a product Manufactured from many products or raw materials

Example:
Product "A" has a weight 1Kg
Product "B" has a weight 0.5Kg

Product "C" is a result of assembling 1 unit of Product "A" & 2 units of
Product "B"
Product "C" has a weight = 1Kg X 1 + 0.5Kg X 2 = 2 Kg

My Question is:
Is there a way to let ofbiz Calculates the weight of Product "C" Using
weights of products "A" & "B" as inputs ?

Appreciating your help and Advice.

Regards,
Medhat
