Okay, you think this is the issue that Mac users are having? I'll ask one
of the folks with a Mac to test it.

Are you thinking a list of options as in Admin->Configuration that lists
all configurable permission items on a per group basis, for configuration
e.g.
"Create public rooms - true/false".

If I understood you correctly, it sounds like a reasonable thing to do...

In this case she can't load files from the group files directory into any

I asked her if she can provide a screenshot. I'll let you know. Anyone
else have a Mac they can test this with?

yes
But such "group" options need to be carefully selected, and in each
case we need to figure out
"what will happen in case multiple groups with different values will
be in effect"

Re: configuration

2018-08-08 Thread Ron Eggler

I think that if a user is assigned to multiple groups, the permissions
should be applied with a logic OR i.e. if a user "foo" is a member of
"expert" and "requester" but only "expert" has the permission to "create
public rooms" , "foo" should be able to "create public rooms". Kind of like
in Linux, as soon as you add a user to a particular group, it will be able
to appear & act as such
is this what you were questioning? I'm open to hearing other suggestions,
too!

Ron

Re: Saved whiteboard won't load back into whiteboard (using Macbook Air)

2018-08-08 Thread Daniel Ascher
I was able to test this on a Mac and it worked properly. I uploaded files
into both "Room Files" and "Group Files" and was able to drag them into the
whiteboard. So it worked on the demo instance.

I also tried on my prod server and worked as well. Maxim - have you already
made the changes to my server?

Thanks. Dan

RE: Conference Room creation update error

2018-08-08 Thread aaron.hepp
I just did the latest snapshot and the import worked as expected using the UI.
I would say I had a corrupted back-up was the reason for the failure of placing
profiles in the right area.

I can confirm the whiteboard issue is resolved when creating a new WB an image
will be uploaded. But now I see a new "clean up" item that may need to be
addressed when ever time allows as this is not really a big issue.

When you delete files and drag them up to the garbage, they files get deleted,
but it looks like it leaves remnants of their file name and image icon stuck
between the folder icons and where My files start (See attached)

Once you exit and come back in, that is gone, so not really an issue. Just
some housekeeping for later on.

Re: Saved whiteboard won't load back into whiteboard (using Macbook Air)

2018-08-08 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Hello Daniel,

Actually drag'n'drop was working, And your server was only partially updated
you can see the issues IF
1) you will try to drag the item using icon NOT name
2) if you will create new WB (will NOT click on it's name) and try to drag
file to this new WB

All above should be addressed

In case everything is OK I can start merge your current version with

Yes, the issue was with this person saving the whiteboard to
her file directory using the *toolbar disk icon*. This created
a file but the file won't load back into a whiteboard.
 Unfortunately I
don't normally have access to a Mac either. If anyone else does
 can you
 check this issue?

 Thanks. Dan
