Re: iPad won't load OM

2021-10-07 Thread Jason
The iPad uses a full desktop version of Safari. So it is a little different
than iPhone. Sorry been so busy I have not had a chance to test.

Do we have a demo loaded with the latest version? I can test. Last time I
tested it still didn’t work. I will test with a few different iOS devices both
14 and 15 iOS versions iPhone and iPad.

Re: iPad won't load OM

2021-09-30 Thread Jason

It still doesn’t work with iPad or iPhone. The mic issue on the iOS device.
They Apple made changes in iOS 14 and OM ane been broken since.

I have currently had to move to mirotalksfu. Because we mostly use iOS devices.
I think if Maxim can look at how MiroTalk use the mic settings it should help
fix the issue. I would love to move back.

Re: Audio on iOS

2021-09-08 Thread Jason
Maxim,
Have you figured out the iOS issues? If not. I have been playing with a
different solution for now and it works fine on all iOS devices. It is using
JavaScript I am running it on Node.JS. The project is called MiroTalk on
GitHub. It is a very young project WebRTC. It has taken me two weeks to help
fix bugs, but works.

Maybe you can take a look at the code for setting up the video on iOS and
modify open meeting to work. This is the only issue holding me back from using
Open Meeting again. Needs to work on all iOS devices.

Is the demo site up and working? I tried with latest iPad 14.5 to verify. But
just spins on login.

Re: Audio on iOS

2021-04-05 Thread Jason
Anything that try’s to query the microphone gets no device. So maybe it just
need to select the default system wide and request access. It seems once it has
access it can capture the mic on the IOS.

This works for sending audio in safari iOS.

https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/peerconnection/webaudio-input/

Not sure what option is being used for OM.

Re: [HELP NEEDED] Mac access

2021-03-05 Thread Jason
I have tried to activate on iOS and have not had any success to get them to
work for the mic in the iOS.

What version of OM and iOS are you using?

Has anyone else been able to confirm any kind of work around for iOS devices?

I had to use a different product for now because we have iOS devices. I would
love to bring back OM as would the users.

Re: Safari

2020-12-17 Thread Jason
Daniel,

If you are trying to use iPhone or iPad you are out of luck until the release
the latest development versión to iOS. Other browsers don’t work, as apple has
restricted them on iOS.

It does work with other browsers on MacOS.

Re: iPhone and iPad: no in-sound

2020-10-25 Thread Jason
Robert,

This is a known issue. We are working on determining the root cause. Apologize
it has been a difficult task to find the root cause. We will post when a fix is
found. For now we don’t know of a work around for iPhone or iPad at the moment.

Thanks,
Jason

With iPad/iPhone it doesn’t work with any browsers. If it was just as easy as
use - a different browser than that would be ok.

I do see a few other video conferring products that have an app as well as web
based that are working on the iPad for the mic issue. They are open source so
we could look and see what they did to resolve the issue.

Re: Safari/iOS issues on Openmeetings v5.0.0

2020-07-27 Thread Jason
I tried with the latest build of iOS on the iPad. Everything works except the
mic on the iPad.

I also tested from 10.15.6 Mac using Safari 13.1.2. I couldn’t hear the sound
from either mic. It seems safari is doing something to prevent the mic access.
it does say iPad for mic and internal mic on the Mac.

So far the main things I have seen is safari users and iPad users can’t use
audio. iPad no browsers work to get around the audio issue. It seems they
changed how to select audio devices.

I am using the hard disk install from: OpenMeetings 5.0.0-M2 on Ubuntu 18.04

Ok I tested. Seems video works, audio from server works. But I can't hear the
Mic from the iPad. It seems to be the same for chrome and FF. But I do see the
error: enumerateDevices() not supported with chrome and FF. I see no errors
with Safari.

Upgrade from M2 to M4

2020-07-07 Thread Jason Romo
What is the best method to upgrade from M2 to M4? I do have valid SSL certs
running. I would like not break the install if possible. I do like the new
changes to the interface! It looks great!

Re: iPad use?

2020-07-07 Thread Jason Romo
Well it seems even Mac OSX doesn't work. I get: Multimedia server is
inaccessible. On both devices.

Is the demo server working?

Re: iPad use?

2020-07-07 Thread Jason Romo
I tried with FF and chrome and those even seemed to do worse. They throw
javascript errors. No video. I am willing to test any browsers. I have an iPad
Pro 2020 with Magic Keyboard, pen running the latest iOS. I use it a lot just
to draw and turn off the audio and video and join with a second account just to
have the pen to draw. It works well for that, but now people want to use their
iPads instead.

So is a patch planned for M5 to fix the audio issue? I also notice the inbound
video is not working. I am still on M2. So could be something that was fixed in
M3 or M4 release.

iPad use?

2020-07-07 Thread Jason Romo
Hello all!
Has anyone been able to get iPads to work for joining a meeting? I mean working
video in, audio. It seems whiteboard, video out work fine. But these are issues
on Safari: not receiving video, not hearing any audio (both ways) and no mic
out from the iPad user. I tested with Firefox and Chrome also. Latest builds in
app store as of the time of this email. Only Safari seemed to work a little.

Thanks,

I am using 10.11.6. I tested again with the demo server. It does the

Ok did some testing. It doesn't work for Mac, but PC it does. I even

I tried #425. Since it was the latest build this morning. Desktop
share still doesn't work. I sees there is a share, but doesn't display
it. I tried with both https/RTMPS tunnel config and just clean 5080
config to make sure it was not an RTMPS issue.

Loaded the 3.2.0 and used RTMPS tunneled and desktop share is not

I figured it out. I had something corrupted. Did an MD5 check on the
files and few files had been corrupted. I pulled down and restored.
All is good.

Where can I grab the 3.2 version. I would love to test it.

RTMPS with 3.1.5

2017-01-29 Thread Jason
Hello all,
I am trying to setup RTMPS with 3.1.5. I have the SSL cert working just
fine. I can login but when the page conference room loads the page is
blank. I followed the directions at :
http://openmeetings.apache.org/RTMPSAndHTTPS.html I have set this up
before and it has worked but desktop share was broken and then fixed. I
haven't tested since then.

Has something changed in how to setup RTMPS? Just trying to figure out
if broken or something has changed. I enabled debug but didn't see any
errors. I do have ports open on the firewall.

Thanks,
Jason

Did you get it working? I have SSL working, but so far haven't gotten
RTMPS to work.

Yep,

going to test the latest nightly build to check if things are better
with latest red5 1.0.8-M6 (currently bundled in OM)
According to this:
https://github.com/Red5/red5-server/issues/187#issuecomment-235669706
RTMPS might work,
but I suspect some non-trivial configuration might be required to make
work both red5-client and native flash player

Yes you can, but for now screen share is broken when using RTMPS.
Waiting for a patch to resolve.

Hi,

I have a question from this site:
http://openmeetings.apache.org/RTMPSAndHTTPS.html

Do I understand it correctly: If I activate RTMPS, there is no need
for port 5080 anymore?
And If I do so, I can change the port from 5443 to 443 to resolve all
firewall-problems? :-) Would be so nice...^^

Cheers,

SOLVED: RTMPS with Openmeetings 3.1.1

2016-05-27 Thread Jason Romo
Ok SSL with RTMPS works, but Screen Share is broken. They are working on it ,
3.1.2 is waiting for a resoution. Thanks to Maxim for helping resolve the
proxyType issue. That was the one thing all docs missed the other was ports.
I don’t think one document had a working config example for Openmeetings 3.1.1.
Even the doc on RTMPS at the official website doesn’t work. This works! So
enjoy stress free install using SSL.

To get SSL working with RTMPS you need to do the following:

If you want to use LetsEncrypt Free SSL do this use the following or skip and
add your own valid cert from any location to the keystone. I add the
LetsEncrypt because I couldn’t find a single source that had this correct
either. It took a bit to resolve.

Install LetsEncrypt plenty of places to show you how to install. Then do
cert-only install. You need to convert the cert to work with keystone.

cd /etc/letsencrypt/live/yourdomain

# Java cacerts you can add the x3-cross-sign.pem to it like this. You have to
download the x3-cross-sign.pem from letsencrypt website. the default Java
password is: changeit
keytool -importcert -file /etc/letsencrypt/live/yourdomain/x3-cross-sign.pem
-keystore cacerts

# Make new keystore
#keytool -keysize 2048 -genkey -alias key -keyalg RSA -keystore keystore.jks

# Make sure you append the x3-cross-sign.pem to the chain.pem or it will not
work.
openssl pkcs12 -export -in cert.pem -inkey privkey.pem -out cert_and_key.p12
-name red5 -CAfile chain.pem -caname root

# Import keys
keytool -importkeystore -deststorepass password -destkeypass password
-destkeystore keystore.jks -srckeystore cert_and_key.p12 -srcstoretype PKCS12
-srcstorepass d4h3j9nq1 -alias red5

cp keystore.jks /opt/yourinstall/conf/keystore.jks
cp keystore.jks /opt/yourinstall/conf/keystore.screen
cp keystore.jks /opt/yourinstall/conf/truststore.jks

vi conf/red5.properties
https.port=443
rtmps.port=443
rtmps.keystorepass=yourpass
rtmps.keystorefile=conf/keystore.jks
rtmps.truststorepass=yourpass
rtmps.truststorefile=conf/truststore.jks

Make sure you set proxyType to none or it will not work.
vi webapps/openmeetings/public/config.xml
1935
443
yes
https
# NOTE: don’t use best like other docs say. It doesn’t work!!
none

Now enable SSL in the jee-container.xml. I copy the file appending .ssl and
.html to allow quick changes.
vi conf/jee-container.xml

You can now start up red5 from init if you followed the install instructions.
You should be able to connect to https://yourdomain.com. If it complains the
cert is not valid then you missed something in the keystone process. This is
the script I use to build my keystone from a cron job just before it expires
automatically so it should work.

Good luck,
Jason

RTMPS?

2016-05-26 Thread Jason Romo
Okay I am still getting the same error. When I enter the room it can’t connect
to RTMPS(5443). I must be missing something.

My keystone checks out fine on SSL labs. I don’t get any error on the client.
I did see other people think maybe java cacerts keystone might need to have
lets encrypt cross-sign key. But would that cause RTMPS to not start?

I don’t see any errors in the logs. Even put in debug all with development.
Nothing about the keystone, certs or RTMPS in the logs other than the client
can’t connect which I can understand RTMPS is not listening on port 5443.

Thanks,
Jason

Right but have it do the same thing when I go back to HTTP config, is strange.
 Yes, that one line is all the red5. Log has during load of a room.   I am
using Debug when I start red5.  I will see if development gives more.

Re: Openmeeting 3.1.1 blank conference room after circle load

2016-05-22 Thread Jason Romo
The ports are open.   Like I said it worked before in HTTP.  After trying HTTPS
it gives blank page.  I put back configs for HTTP and still spins and blank

see large payload.   For HTTP same thing but toport 1935. Some exposed HTTP
when in HTTPS,  but just the first redirect.

Openmeeting 3.1.1 blank conference room after circle load

2016-05-20 Thread Jason Romo
Hello all,
Question 1: I have installed Openmeetings 3.1.1 on Debian 8. I can make it work
all day without SSL. When I enable SSL HTTPS works into the site, but when I
access a room. It loads with spinning circle and then just a blank page. I
noticed it doesn’t do the loading line like it does when working. I can see
traffic on RTMPS 8443 during via tcpdump. I ran full debug mode during this.
I only get this message: the others are the normal GRANT etc.

 WARN 05-20 06:30:56.018 AbstractTextComponent.java 173002 170
org.apache.wicket.markup.html.form.AbstractTextComponent
[http-nio-0.0.0.0-80-exec-6] - Couldn't resolve model type of
Model:classname=[org.apache.wicket.model.Model]:object=[null] for [TextField
[Component id = url]], please set the type yourself.

Then if I remove the SSL options and go back to HTTP I get the same error, when
it worked before. Maybe I don’t have something enabled? I cleared the cache
files from working. Same results. I followed the document on the website. I
have reloaded twice and each time HTTP works but then nothing works after the
first time I try HTTPS. Even if restore the backup files from before.

Question 2: I saw a few posts that RTMPS works with MacOSX now. Can anyone
confirm that?

Jason

Re: Active Directory LDAP Auth Problems

2013-09-10 Thread Antman, Jason (CMG-Atlanta)
For the sake of posterity, I was able to get this working.

I did a tcpdump of another app (apache mod_authnz_ldap) that was authenticating
to the same AD server via LDAP using the same bind user. Looking at the dump in
wireshark, I saw that it was binding with a name of "DOMAIN\username", not the
DN. This fixed it.

Here are the uncommented lines in my_ad.cfg (copied from om_ldap.cfg and
modified):
# start
ldap_server_type=AD
ldap_conn_url=ldap://1.2.3.4:389
ldap_admin_dn=DOMAIN\username
ldap_passwd=userpassword
ldap_search_base=OU:DOMAIN,DC:company,DC:int
field_user_principal=userPrincipalName
ldap_auth_type=SIMPLE
ldap_sync_password_to_om=yes

ldap_user_attr_lastname=sn
ldap_user_attr_firstname=givenName
ldap_user_attr_mail=mail
ldap_user_attr_street=streetAddress
ldap_user_attr_additionalname=description
ldap_user_attr_fax=facsimileTelephoneNumber
ldap_user_attr_zip=postalCode
ldap_user_attr_country=co
ldap_user_attr_town=l
ldap_user_attr_phone=telephoneNumber

ldap_use_lower_case=false
# end

And my LDAP settings in the OM web UI:
name: my_ad
enabled: checked
config file name: my_ad.cfg
add domain to user name: checked
domain: company.int

Thanks to John for all the help, getting me down the right path.

Re: Active Directory LDAP Auth Problems

2013-09-09 Thread Antman, Jason (CMG-Atlanta)
John,

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried updating ldap_admin_dn to actually be a DN,
as well as changing the field_user_principal and ldap_server_type. No change at
all. I then tried changing the admin_dn to the DN of my user (with domain admin
privs) and the password to my password (which doesn't contain a #), no change.
Tried changing ldap_search_base to the OU where all of the accounts (well, most
of them, including mine) are located, still no change.

Any other thoughts? Is there a way to enable a more-verbose logging for this?

Thanks,
Jason

A couple of things is wrong in your ldap config.
ldap_admin_dn= (wrong format, it should be something like
CN:LDAP_account,OU:MYORG,DC:example,DC:int)

ldap_search_base= (your setting should be ok, mine is narowed down to the OU
where the
user accounts are located)

field_user_principal= (this should be "userPrincipalName")

ldap_server_type= (this should be "AD")

Hello,

I've just installed OpenMeetings 2.1.1 on a CentOS 6 host for testing.
Everything seems to work fine with local auth, but then I attempted to
enable LDAP authentication to an Active Directory backend. As far as I
can tell, the bind is working, but I seem to be getting back invalid
password errors. I have dozens of other applications authing against
this same AD instance, and I copy/pasted the username and password, so I
know all of that is right. I thought it may have something to do with
the bind user having a "#" in the password, but that doesn't seem to be
the case, since the bind looks to be successful. I've tried setting
ldap_server_type to both "AD" and "OpenLDAP" (per some old mailing list
threads) but nothing seems to change with that.

Does anyone else have AD auth working right?

I'm attaching (slightly anonymized versions of) my om_ldap.cfg and
openmeetings.log (I was unable to find instructions for how to turn on
debug logging for the current version; the only document that Google
turned up was http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/Logging which
points to a file that doesn't exist).

I've tried my plain username with both a domain prefix (domain\username)
and without. With the domain prefix I get a "Username not found" error,
and without the prefix I get "Invalid password" (confirmed by the
AcceptSecurityContext error 525)
This implies to me (am I wrong):
1) bind to AD is successful
2) without the domain prefix is the correct format
3) The account can at least be found

Thanks in advance for any help, and many thanks for all the effort that
went in to a project that might finally free me (a desktop Linux user)
from incompatible or proprietary conference software.

-Jason Antman
