KMS at demo works without disconnections for weeks

The system is Ubuntu 18.04
KMS 6.15
OpenJava 11

I guess OM, KMS and system logs need to be examined to understand what is
wrong

Why are OM and KMS disconnected?

I can use another, similar platform (video+audio communication) in the

(initially broken or lost after some time)
OM tries to auto-reconnect, so if KMS was re-started network issues are
fixed the connection will be re-created

 Hello kaffeesurrogat,
jawohl (=yes), CoTurn is installed and tested based on your
previous posts. I forgot to mention CoTurn.
I'm going to have more time after 2021. June and will try to run

The amended list:
It would be good to know what

1. By the Openmeetings server?

Thanks Rene,

According to description the issue is in KMS
Can you please:
1) update to latest KMS 6.14
2) check os/kms logs
3) ensure OM has ~8gb ram

Hi Andreas,

KMS is a must in OM5, if you want to handle cameras, screensharing and
so on.

Best regards

In case such thing will happen again, can you check if Kurento is still
running?

Such behavior was fixed in upcoming M4: from now on you will see the
message if connection wasn't actually established

It only had two successful meetings until now
and
after the first one, there was supposed to be a another
between two colleagues: They told me: no audio and video
and
after the second one: I saw this message.

Inbetween I had rebooted the machine and started all necessary processes again.

If I am alone entering/leaving the room: no problem, audio and video SEEMS to
work

error msg: multimedia server is inaccessible

2020-04-09 Thread Geffert, Otfried
Dear all,

after having a succesfull video conference with a colleague, we both left the
room,
came back in and we could not see & hear each other anymore.

Then us two left the room and logged out, I loggeg in again, entered the room
and
I saw a lot of messages on the right window border , saying: multimedia server
inaccessible

After rebooting I have set up a log file for kurento with:

   nohup docker logs --follow kms >"kms-$(date '+%Y%m%dT%H%M%S').log" 2>&1 &

Unfortunately it logs a lot of stuff.

Does anyone have an idea, when "multimedia server inaccessible"
comes up ?

Best regards,
Otfried

Re: OM 5-M3 Cent OS 8 | Multimedia server is inaccessible

2020-03-18 Thread Alvaro
After read your message i've installed OM 5-0-0-M3 on Centos 8following
the tutorial, and two users can hear and see betweenthem with mic and
cam.
So, please run docker as root, if is not:
#  systemctl start docker.service
...stop kms if is running:
# docker stop kms
...this next step is if your docker have only kms container, noany
other container (we'll clear containers, no uninstall kms):
# docker rm -f $(docker ps -a -q)
...now we'll put kms container in docker (OM 5.0.0-M3:

(Only one line, with space between 1 and 2, and without space between 2
and 3)
# sudo docker run -d --name kms -p : --
mounttype=bind,source=/opt/open503/webapps/openmeetings/data,target=/op
t/open503/webapps/openmeetings/data kurento/kurento-media-server
...now stop docker-service and any server as tomcat and MariaDB:
# systemctl stop docker.service
# /etc/init.d/tomcat3 stop
# systemctl stop mariadb.service
...and reboot the machine:
# reboot
After reboot run the severs in this order:
# systemctl start mariadb.service
# systemctl start docker.service
# docker start kms
# /etc/init.d/tomcat3 start

OM 5-M3 Cent OS 8 | Multimedia server is inaccessible

2020-03-17 Thread Ludovic MESSINGER

Hello,

I have installed OM 5.0.0-M3 on Cent OS 8 with the tutorial
<https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/download/attachments/27838216/Installation%20OpenMeetings%205.0.0-M3%20on%20Centos%208.pdf?version=4=1579803633000=v2>.

I haves some problems :

 * I can't here and can't see other users. Poll and whiteboard is Ok.
 * After a moment I had this message : "Multimedia server is inaccessible"

Do you know what the problem could be?

PS : since I have GCC 8, I have updated the ffmpeg_centos8.sh script by
replacing :

wget http://www.nasm.us/pub/nasm/releasebuilds/2.13.02/nasm-2.13.02.tar.bz2
by wget
https://www.nasm.us/pub/nasm/releasebuilds/2.14.02/nasm-2.14.02.tar.bz2

Regards,
Ludovic
