usually only PostScript Fonts use the resource fork in this way. OpenType Fonts
(also with embedded PS-Fonts) are normal files.

Nevertheless: OwnCloud should handle this. Maybe store the resource fork in the
same way as OS X stores them in ZIP-Files or on SMB Shares.

Puh? Sure, that he/she want to store that much in OC? ;-)

[owncloud-user] Encrypted home folder

2015-07-17 Thread Andrea Croci

Hello Community,

first of all I would like to thank you all for the great job. I use
onwCloud and I like it a lot.

I have it on a server which is not encrypted. Now I just installed
Ubuntu in a new laptop and I have encrypted my home folder. I wonder
what happens if I install the OC client and try to synchronize the files
to a subdirectory of the encrypted home folder. Would this work or would
it be a problem?

Thank you,

Andrea.

Hi Andrea,

This should not pose any problems.

When you login your setup takes care of mounting the home directory in
such a way to you can access your files. Since the ownCloud client
will only run once you are logged in, it just sees a "normal"
filesystem (basically it does not care/need to know how things are
stored on disk).

Cheers,

Applying avatar patch to user_ldap app does not help, oom still
occurs.

I am trying to comment out whole setOwnCloudAvatar() function.

Try what is described here
https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/17631#issuecomment-121432389

if it makes it work for you, please follow on the github issue. Unfortunately
I fail to reproduce, only see people affected :-/

Cheers
Arthur

[owncloud-user] Contacts app

2015-07-17 Thread Gerald Vogt
I don't want to be pushy here, but... as someone mentioned in a comment
that the current contacts app would be "dead" I was wondering if I can
expect anyone to review my pull requests on github or if that was just a
waste of time and an operation on a dead patient...

This was my first edits on github ever and I don't know if I did
something wrong and it doesn't appear where it should be or if it's
simply ignored because of status "dead" or if it's my impatience...

Thanks,

Gerald

2015-07-17 Thread Chris
Hi,

AFAIK its not dead but just needs an maintainer so you probably needs some
patience.

If you don't get any additional replies here maybe also try your luck at the
owncloud-devel mailinglist.
