JAVA_HOME is unset.
I've also tried setting it with:
export JAVA_HOME=$(/usr/libexec/java_home)
which sets it to
"/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_31.jdk/Contents/Home" and I
still get the same problem.
