RE: Saving a HTML screen data as a Word doc.
Hi, This approach is working fine. I have another problem. I am displaying an image thru the tag in the JSP. Now, I want to display this image in the MS Word document that is generated. Any idea how this can be accomplished? With best regards, Anjishnu. -Original Message- From: Ranganathan Srinivasan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 07, 2006 8:30 PM To: Struts Users Mailing List Subject: Re: Saving a HTML screen data as a Word doc. Hi, If you want generate RTF Word with Java, you could too use RTFTemplate see at http://rtftemplate.sourceforge.net/index.html. With RTFTemplate, you design your RTF model with MS Word and after you can merge your model with context JAVA object . Re: Saving a HTML screen data as a Word doc.
In general, there is no way to save an HTML file as a Word doc, or at least no way that is reasonable to ask your users to carry out manually. So, while you can re-use the basic *design* of the page, you won't be able to re-use the JSP itself for this purpose. Here is a library that allows you to create a Word file with Java: http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/index.html There are many libraries to create PDF documents, too, if that would be acceptable. -Max On Tue, 2006-02-07 at 19:18 +0530, Anjishnu Bandyopadhyay wrote: > Hi all, > > > > I am generating a HTML screen through JSP. Just try putting this in the jsp <[EMAIL PROTECTED] contentType="application/vnd.ms-word" %> On 2/7/06, Anjishnu Bandyopadhyay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Hi all, > > > > I am generating a HTML screen through JSP.
