Re: DUCC job automatically fails and gives Reason,or extraordinary status as cancelled by User | DUCC Version: 2.0.1

2017-05-17 Thread priyank sharma

Hey Eddie

The job usually runs for over an hour before it is interrupted and
ultimately stopped due to cancelled by user. As seen in the logs, the
following message is displayed:

completion type: CanceledByUser
rationale: "Terminate button pressed"

There is no user interference in this, and the system is canceling the
job itself.

Thanks and Regards

Hey lou

Both the JD and JP are running on different machines. Yes, the network
is viable between the machines and password-less access between the
machines has been enabled and is working.

Thanks and Regards

I'm not too familiar with this, but will take a look if you can post "how to
reproduce" instructions, for a (hopefully) small example :-)

UIMA Annotation Editor - Annotation Styles - how to reset ?

2017-05-17 Thread Luca Toldo
Dear all,
I'm having problems with the Annotation Editor.
For reasons I don't know, one of the types listed has a "minus" or "-" on its
left and cannot be "deselected".

I notice that it coincide with a value shown in the Outline text window even
when no annotation has been done.

I've removed the .pref-typeSystemDescriptor.xml and also the
typeSystemDescriptorStyleMap.xml but the problem remains.

grep -ril from the home .eclipse folder delivers no hits...

any advice ?
Thanks

How long does the job run before stopping? Cancelled by user could come if
the job is submitted with cancel_on_interrupt and the client submitting the
job were stopped.

That’s exactly my case (2 stacked scripts).

Thanks, Peter

Re: [Ruta] STRINGLIST behavior

2017-05-17 Thread Peter Klügl
Hi,

it should be local with respect to a ruta script/module/block (->
RutaEnvironment) and local to the processed CAS.

Recently, a bug was reported that could maybe cause this:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-5423

The environments are not resetted if the script declaring/initializing
the variable is called by another one which is called by the main one
(two stacked scripts). The bug is fixed in the current trunk.

Is this the case in your application?

If not, I'll investigate it further.

Best,

Peter

[Ruta] STRINGLIST behavior

2017-05-17 Thread Hugues de Mazancourt
Hi all,

I was struggling for several days on a memory leak on a server running a Ruta
parser.
I guess I finally got the cause: I was using a STRINGLIST variable that I
though was local to an analysis (a JCas), but apparently, it is global to the
Ruta interpreter. In my case, since I was adding elements to the list and never
cleared it. Things went wrong...
Can you confirm that behavior ?
If this is the case, what happens when there are several Ruta threads involved
? (I’m creating the instances with UIMAFramework.produceAnalysisEngine(…) with
multiple simultaneous requests)

Thanks,

Thankyou,
following works

java -cp
org.eclipse.emf.ecore-2.12.0.jar:org.eclipse.emf.common-2.12.0.jar:org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xmi-2.12.0.jar:uima-core.jar:uima-examples.jar
 org.apache.uima.examples.xmi.Ecore2UimaTypeSystem
