Dear Abdul,
If you set mem.overprovisioning.factor != 1 in global settings，kvm agent will
set instance currentMemory half of memory in libvirt.
So you can edit /etc/cloudstack/agent/agent.properties and uncomment
vm.memballoon.disable=true, and then restart kvm agent. When you { deploy new
instance } or {shutdown instance then restart }, the currentMemory equals
memory you view the instance .

while I creating vm I used template which has dynamically scalable. may be I
will try creating new vm without using dynamically scalable option and let you

Hi Geoff, Thanks for your support, As you suggested I have disabled dynamically scalable option in my template and stop/start the VM it is showing actual provisioning of RAM. as you mention its a bug on ACS do you have any idea when will we have this bug fixed ? as I understand the dynamically scalable correctly then, I am wondering if my VMs hits peak usage then it will not automatically adjust the resources. Please correct me if my understanding is right. Cannot create isolated networks
Hi,
I have install cloudstack 4.4 everything is working fine but i cannot create
isolated networks.When i first configure cloudstack i didn't choose security
groups.Moreover when i register as a user i can create isolated networks(i
cannot delete them) and i cannot creaate instances.The log while trying to

I'm trying to enable pool HA but ending up with the following error message: The restore could not be performed because this backup has been created by a different (incompatible) product version I have ACS 4.4.1-NONOSS_3 with XS 6.2 patched up to XS62ESP1013 installed. I see 2 files were created under MGMT-HA mount, but HA is still not enabled. Could you please let me know what might be wrong? Hi Abdul, This was something Len and I discussed a while back but I am still seeing strange behaviour in my current 4.3.2 test system. What I am seeing is that Windows VMs get 4x the RAM allocated to them on the Hypervisor (XenServer) but the OS is also reporting 4x the RAM. Linux VMs are getting 2x the RAM allocated to them on the Hypervisor (XenServer) but the VM is still only reporting its allocated RAM. However if I recall when I first spotted this in earlier versions, Linux VMs would actually get LESS RAM allocated to them which sounds like what you are seeing. I'm sure I logged this as a bug and it looks like the behaviour has changed but it is still behaving strangely, at least on XenServer. I'm sticking with my previous advice to Len which was to not mark Templates as Dynamically Scalable. I had this issue and the only way to fix it was to disable the Dynamically Scalable option on my templates, then shut down my vms (not restart) and then bring them up again. After that they received all of the memory. This was only on Linux machines. Windows vms are fine. I am using ACS 4.3. It sounds like a bug to me, but not sure. Hi Geoff If the pool master is managed outside the cloudstack, does it mean that there is no need to set manage.xenserver.pool.master=false when applying patched to the Xen cluster with pool HA enabled ? Will it just be enough to unmanage the cluster in cloudstack , disable the pool HA on the cluster and proceed with the hotfixes or should I follow the procedure described in the documentation? We had a similar problem before. It turned out to be a unsupported combination of cloudstack + xenserver (we did run 4.2.1 with xenserver 6.2 sp1) . Please check you have all required patches applied on the Xen box. I'd try redeploy it in cloudstack. I would also take a pool backup first. After patching xenserver 6.2, I rebooted the pool master (I have two xen hypervisors). After the pool master comes back, the SR for the primary storage became “unplugged”, and shown as broken in XenCenter. The volume is not mounted on pool master host any more.
