Re: Secondary Storage Check Capacity
Hi Evgeniy, I have never changed the size of the secondary storage, but CS should recalculate the new size (after a quick code check). The new value will be applied after the interval set in `storage.stats.interval` (configuration setting) Best regards, Slavka On Thu, Mar 24, 2022 at 2:49 PM Дикевич Евгений Александрович < evgeniy.dikev...@becloud.by> wrote: > Hi all! > > MB someone are changed size of existing Secondary Storage? > I have 1 NFS server which I use as Secondary Storage. Isolated Networks and VPC in SG enabled Advanced Zone
Hi all, I have a very small cloud which is setup as a Security Group enabled Advanced Zone, some users wondered why they cannot create VPCs for their accounts although the UI button is present. If they try to add a VPC, no Network Offering and no Zone can be chosen on the view. I assume it is due to the the shared network restriction which comes with the Security Group activation, am I right? Moreover, I've found this wiki page written some years ago concering Security Groups in Advanced Zone: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/plugins/servlet/mobile?contentId=30741651#content/view/30741651 In this document, it is mentioned that in future releases, support for SG in Isolated networks will be added as well as a feature support in VPC networks. Are the two features actually planned for future releases? Otherwise the only way to make isolated networks and VPC work on my zone is to reinstall the whole Zone and disabling Security Groups. Best Regards Mevludin

VMware Template - To read from OVA or NOT
Hi - I feel like I've asked this in the past; however, my developer colleague has me spinning my wheels trying to get his code to work against this VMware/ACS environment. I'm having trouble with deploying a VM instance using a VMware specific template when I DO NOT use the "Read VM Settings from OVA." When I don't use that setting I set the root disk controller as "lsilogicsas" and NIC to "e1000." The VM deploys however the OS never completely loads, just spins at Windows OS "Getting devices ready." Using the SAME image, with the Read OVA setting - the VM instance deploys and loads the OS without issue. Can someone from ShapeBlue or ACS verify that for VMWARE environments the "Read VM settings from OVA" IS or IS NOT required? If in theory, I should be able to deploy a VM from a template where "Read VM Settings from OVA" is OFF - what could be the issue (I assume its something identified in OVA that is not getting loaded/seen from basic ACS API). VR/SystemVM upgradation after cloudStack upgradation
Hello Guys, We have multiple Cloudstack deployment across all environment, Whenever we upgrade Cloudstack it’s required to upgrade the systemVM templates and routers, sometimes it’s very hard to ask downtime for VR upgradation( for upgrading the VR ). So is there any way or hack so that we won’t need to upgrade the VRs after upgrading the Cloudstack. Because in every case new provisioning won’t happen until we upgrade the VR. Re: Boot VM into BIOS after deployment
hi piotr, thanks for your Link - as always high quality stuff. But the information there is more about on how to enable UEFI at all. For me it is more the basic task to boot a vm directly into bios mode without juggeling the console proxy to hit f2 at the right time. There has been an issue for this https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/issues/3583 Which lead to an setting, that you can reboot a vm directly to bios from the gui while using vmware. Now my question is, if there is something simila availeable for kvm - or how one can "easily" enter the bios of a deployed VM. regards, chris Am Do., 24. Hello, Here you will find the information you need: https://lab.piszki.pl/cloudstack-vm-with-vtpm-and-secure-boot-uefi/ Regards, Piotr -Original Message- From: vas...@gmx.de Sent: Wednesday, March 23, 2022 5:29 PM To: users@cloudstack.apache.org Subject: Boot VM into BIOS after deployment hi everyone, currently i am looking for a way to boot a vm into bios / uefi. The challange for me is, that i would like to enable the actual users to do so via the GUI / ConsoleProxy GUI. However using the consoleproxy GUI is kind of challangeing to the actual booting speed. I found that there is a option availeable when vmware is used as a hypervisor... Is there somthing similar availeable for kvm? How do you manage to boot into bios / uefi if needed? regards, chris
