Hello Folks,

I tried to add a secondary ip on a VM (acs 4.16+xcp-ng) which is on a VPC
After what i cant no more have dhcp lease after rebooting vm

I have theses errors on VPC Vr in /var/log/dnsmasq.log
Aug 16 16:23:51 dnsmasq-dhcp[2993336]: DHCPDISCOVER(eth4) 02:00:54:22:00:58
no address available
Aug 16 16:23:58 dnsmasq-dhcp[2993336]: DHCPDISCOVER(eth4) 02:00:54:22:00:58
no address available

Any ideas ?

I cant add new vms, network doesnt assign anymore some ips from VR

Also i have errors on dhcp_check, dns_check and haproxy_check.py on VR

dhcp_check : Missing elements in dhcphosts.txt - ...
dns_check : Missing entries for VMs in /etc/hosts

2022-08-16 Thread Andrey Smirnov

Hi,

Could anyone help with this question?

Which IP address space should be used for system VMs for a zone -- I
cannot find any documentation related to storage VMs networking, they
start with two sets of IP addresses -- private and not private -- but I
cannot find any references -- how Cloudstack decides which IP network to
use for what and what kind of communications is expected between
storage/console VMs, management servers and KVM hosts.

Sincerely

Andrey

Hi ACS Team

Any idea how to set up the tags in the output of the usage records shown below?

I have follow the procedure and it’s working very well, thanks, however in the
usage records the tag field is null. I will need to set that tag for proper
billing, any idea?

Thanks Alex for your quick reply. That tag will appear in the cloud usage
record tag field? I need that for proper billing.

Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,

You set the tag, say "HDD", on the storage offering and on the primary storage
which you want to use for HDD, then do the same for all other storage types.
When creating a volume the end user will select the offering "HDD, SATA or
NVMe" and ACS will place the volume in a storage pool with the matching tag.
That's all for disk volumes.
If you want the root disk to go to a certain storage pool then you need to set
the storage tag in the compute offering.

Hope that helps, feel free to ask further, I've done a lot of work with storage
tags.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi all,

In my cluster I would like to have many primary storages with different types:
HDD, SATA and NVMe, how can I differentiate between them in the usage records?
I see a tag field, but not so sure where to set it.

BR,

Ricardo
