Re: Cloudstack fail to create windows 2022 templates

Just went through this process.
- I installed Windows Server 2022 to a VM, installed the VirtIO drivers,
made the other changes I wanted to the image
- Ran sysprep with the shutdown and OOBE experience options
- Made a template from the volume

Biggest issue I had was dealing with where Windows 2022 puts the system
recovery partition. MS now places it after the primary partition so
automatic resizing of the volume on deployment wouldn't work. I ended up
just removing that partition entirely.

RHEL 8 hosts not recognized as UEFI enabled

Hi all,

for some reason, only 4 out of 20 hosts are enabled in the database as 
UEFI enabled, although all of them were installed identically (RHEL 8, 
cloudstack-agent and corresponding ovmf packages). In the DB, there are 
only 4 entries in host_details with host.uefi.enable = true. However, 
there are no entries with host.uefi.enable = false. Is there any quick 
workaround without removing and adding the host again?

The real problem is that every time I stop a VM, that VM is destroyed, and
is created again when I start it, If I do the same thing via the XCP-ng, it
works as expected,
XCP stops and starts the VM properly, why is cloudstack destroying and
recreating? I already opened an issue on github, but this behavior  is not
correct I think. This
destroy and recreate everytime you stop/start a machine, change the UUID.
