I changed the option in global settings system.vm.use.local.storage to true.

Now. the system offering System Offering For Secondary Storage VM and
System Offering For Console Proxy said that the Storage Type are local
But. they use the Small instance Compute offering that are shared storage
type and it's impossible to change it.

So. i created a new service offering with local storage. but now. How can I
define that the Secondary Storage VM and the Console Proxy use this service
offering?

In general. how can I change the default service offering for this VMM's ?

I recently installed and configure my zone. the template of centos started
to download and finished ok.
but on the CS manager in the templates menu (CentOS 5.6(64-bit) no GUI
(XenServer)) show me the status message:

Template download is already in progress or already downloaded.

any idea to proceed wit the installation?

doc. On this part it's a little confused.

I identify that you need to install all the management-servers before
deploy the mySQL HA, for example if you will think to add a new management
server after de MySQL HA it's not possible if so will erase all data from
the DB (on my personal experience)

so my  step by step was:

install the management server's accord the official 4.3 doc

install mysql server on the 2 database servers (master and slave)

#yum install mysql-server

edit the MySQL configuration /etc/my.cnf q

MASTER

hello.I kept doing tests and this was the result:

1. y change the iso OS type to Other (64 bits) and made an installation of
CentOS 6.5 with the default option of installation on the grub (Install or
upgrade an existing system) and the result it's the same. the X not work.

2. The same iso with the same OS type (other (64 bits)) but in the
installation menu i chose install system with basic video driver and work
Ok. the X starts without problem.

That's the only way to X starts ??? why this problem doesn't occur on
XenServer directly?

I'm looking for a solution to CloudStack level but not at the level of OS.

This happens to me whenever I do an installation of centos or redhat with
CloudStack.
I use the same iso on another hypervisor not managed by CloudStack and works
ok

I tested another iso and install new instances (RedHat and CentOS / with
graphicall enviorement) and the result it's the same :(

X on CentOS instance

Hello, I am trying to install a centos with graphical environment but has
not been possible.

When uploading the iso to CloudStack I choose CentOS 6.4 64-bit, Other
CentOS 64-bits, but it's not working for me :(

the install process work with graphicall enviorement but then i restart the

I can't remember the default time, i think that it's 42 hours. i Change it
to 1 hour (in seconds)

yeap. I stopped the instance, then in XenServer I resize the root disk and
work ok. but, CloudStack show me the wrong size :(

It's neccesary to enable Dynamically Sacalable ckeck box on the Details of
the instance ?
i check this option and repeat the procces to scale up my instance in hot
swapping and work ok
but. i check the resorces and i identify that the RAM assigned it's 16GB on
the VM but i just scale up to 5GB of RAM. Even I have not any service
offering with 16GB of RAM

The same procces on Linux Instance work ok. the problem it's just on Windows

Some questinos about Accounts, Users Domains and Projects

Hello, sorry for all my questions today but I have been several weeks working
with CloudStack.Learning and doing tests and there are some things I have
not managed to find in the documentation.

I wanna know some things about the delegation and control about resources
between accounts, users, domains and projects. I read in

1. If i create one doain-admin account. this account can i delegate to

 This typically happens when Cloudstack has an issue deploying on that host

 multiple vms with the x2 in the environment?

 What version of XenServer are you runnings?  Try running
 xe-toolstack-restart on the host/pool master to force a refresh from
 Cloudstack.  If that doesn't work you may have to restart the host or
 remove the host from Cloudstack and add it back into Cloudstack.

 Also check your storage on the Host and/or SAN to make sure that is still
 communicating correctly.
